Thank you Toni. I've only managed to post photos of my GD's birthday party so far. I've been falling asleep while I'm sat here. :zombie-mummy:

Mig, I joined FB a few years ago to keep in touch with my daughter when she was travelling. It's good for seeing photos and you can now video-message people so I get to see my grandkids. Also keep in contact with friends who live too far to visit. I'm guessing the rain kept you awake. :zombie-cat:

Barbara, thank you. Jet lag is weird. At first, I was falling asleep at 7pm then waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning. It's after 9 and I'm still up so getting there. I was back at work on Monday. I got a raise but working 2 half days less. My DIL had asked if I'll look after my GD for 1 day so that'll keep me busy. How nice of your OH to male breakfast. :pumpkin:

I was thinking about what to do now my hours have been cut at work so I've signed up for an online course in Mindfulness. Just hope I can concentrate on doing it. Once I'm finished, I'll be qualified to teach it. Got a phonecall from the dentist. Apparently, a bit of decay showed up on x-rays I had on Monday so I need to go and see her again. :trick-or-treat:

Only just found my way here! Thought I'd never find you again. :o

OMG Joan, I hope Sue wasn't hurt, or in too much shock. I'm glad you are to have a CT scan on your foot.

mig, like the others, I'll be in your pocket. xx

sorry there's no new grub this week, Emily couldn't find the cafe. It must have had some boards round it like they do on building sites. I've told her it's re-opened, so business as normal next week I HOPE. :?

    Mig, pub lunch sounds good.

Toni, the reply button is working ok for me. Hope it isn't Windows 10. Wow, how did you enjoy the retreat? Hope you found it relaxing.

Oh my goodness. Poor Sue. A broken wrist? It must have been a shock for you too Joan.

Barbara, i started the course this morning. Finished the first module. Hope you found the message button.

Kath, they've taken the boards down now so I'm looking forward to Emily's food.

Feels like a Sunday today. No work. Woke up at 6 but managed to stay in bed till 7 then got up and sorted out my wardrobe. before breakfast Hope I didn't wake my neighbours up. Now just pottering around the house after doing the first module of my course.

Feels like a Friday to me, but without the curry to look forward to Christine :(

    Joan
    - I am horrified! Poor poor Sue. Keep a close eye on her, (I'm sure you are), it might have affected her confidence as well as her wrist ((()))

Kath - I hope Emily brings us some grub soon. I for one am feeling extra peckish with this chilly weather.

Hi Barbara. Did you have to take medi-prep for your kidney scan? I hope results are ok

    See you all later

Oh my poor cafe dwellers. Just made a quick call to Emily who is about to deliver emergency supplies. Lots of sausage rolls, cheese and onion rolls,

Zombie fingers - These freaky edible fingers are naturally sweetened with dates - perfect for a spooky spread at a Halloween party for children of all ages.

Freaky finger red velvet cake - a dramatic chocolate red velvet cake, sandwiched with an easy cream cheese frosting

Sausage mummy dippers - Cut croissant dough into strips and roll around chipolatas for these spooky bandaged mummies. Serve with your favourite dip.

Halloween pumpkin cake - Like carrot cake but with pumpkin instead.

The usual stews with dumplings for those who are mega-hungry.

Hope these will keep you going until next week. xx

Hi all :) just one of my quick hellos, I am mid-on-way to starting the humira now, getting severe cold feet atm courtesy of the side-effect list, so am off to LWA for advice.

I see we have a few people in the wars - poor Sue! Not what I expected to read! :( Sending my best to both of you. xx

Forum changes as well, it's all very unsettling :? I hope to be back in some sort of state one of these days where I can participate properly (have we got new crockery & tablecloths as well?! expect the cupboards & drawers have been re-arranged & I will never find the teaspoons. Someone will take pity on me & pour me up cuppa I expect, ahem, Barbara ;)).

Anyway all I have to offer the cauldron is an out-of-date tin of sliced mango, all the green tea that I buy & never drink, and a half-coconut-shell of suet + mealworms that the birds have turned their beaks up at. Enjoy.

And (not for the cauldron) - some fudge to pass round. Love, toady xxx

I didn't realise I'd been away so long...it must be the holidays, long lie-ins and then full on with housework and being with the children plus the gymnastic World championshiops is on so been hooked to Facebook info about it and chatting with fellow gym fans.

I had intended to welcome Applerose back...sorry Applerose see above paragraph for reasons. Looking forward to seeing pictures. Jet lag is a funny thing, hope you are back to normal now.
Are you near the steel works? Is this your area?

Funnily enough Toni I thought it was Friday yesterday. I tuned into my fave radio show last night and couldn't find it then realised I was a day early.

So glad Lucy is doing well (no need to worry ) and Charley has got back into her reading.

And I forgot to put my mobile clock back on Sunday so my alarm went off at 8pm when it was really 7pm on the Monday morning (Lucy's GP appointment check up).

Getting my witches hair cut and coloured next Friday as its OH parent's Golden Wedding party! We are taking over their fave restaurant.

Now I see there has been a AC jig about and some of you have lost posts (second write up is never as good is it Toni)? I've found a few words have crossed over each other.

Anyway Joan has had terrible news. I'm so sorry Joan and lucky you didn't get hit as well. How on earth did they manage to run her over???

Cate good luck with the visit. Your Son must visit you at all costs and not let her use emotional blackmail. I hope he is prepared not to back down.

Kath hope you are well. My itching has gone throughth the roof as I told Toady on her post...
Good luck Toady with the humira. I did so well on it immediately I couldn't believe the difference.

    Mig cauldron is back!

Kath, think I'll have some of Emily's stew followed by a slice of pumpkin cake. Yummy. Hope you manage to warm your feet up.

Toady, good to see you. I've got some green tea and some other types which have been in the cupboard for some time.

Oh no, Mig. Hope we can gather some more ingredients together.

Barbara, plenty of rain here too but the sun did try to come out later this afternoon. Hope you have a better night tonight.

Joan, I hope you and Sue have got over the shock and Sue isn't in too much pain.

Elizabeth, I thought you would be busy with it being the holidays. I'm almost back to normal. Still waking in the early hours and falling asleep early evening. The Redcar steelworks is 15 miles from me. My son has organised retraining for any of the men who want to work in the gas and oil sector. Hope you have a good night at the party.

    Hi everyone :)

Christine - the steelworks IS close by then. I think it's great what your son is doing I really hope they all find work soon :(

You will get back into your normal routine soon I'm sure.

Elizabeth I just knew you'd be watching the gymnastics!! :)
Kids will be back at school on Monday so life will be more hectic again. I hope your Lucy got on ok at the GPs.

I am glad I'm not the only one who's getting the days mixed up!!

Poor Sue Joan :( Please give her our love. Good to hear she's coming along, but it's so unfair!

Hi Barbara :) I hope you are feeling ok today? My neck has been much better for less driving as has my back thanks :) I hope the next scan is ok for you :?

Mig!! Are you serious?? It wasn't me I always put things safe when I clean :(

Ah Toady Lucy has had icy hands and feet ever since she started her chemo last January so you have my sympathy. She used a mixture of Wheaties, fluffy socks and my husband to warm them up :)

Ta for the fudge....mmmmm yum :)

Wow Kath! Please do thank Emily for us she is so clever making all those Hallowe'en treats!! I think we could have some tonight???

Veggie stew and veggie suet dumplings for me please :)

I hope everyone else is ok especially cate xxx
