There is snow in Newport, Wales, where my Daughter lives too.. Nothing in Leeds but blooming cold, and earthquakes apparently, lol

Hi Tony, Yer i saw about the earthquake :shock: there was one up there a fw weeks back too.
I remember when we had the pub we had one early hours of the morning, i sat petrified on the edge of the bed wondering what the hell was going on. The earth moved for me that night i can tell you Picture on the walls were swaying & the whole place shock :shock: :shock:
was on the news & was felt up north too.

Where was that one when you had the pub, was that the Lincolnshire one? Think it was 2007... My OH & Daughter felt it but I was fast asleep again, lol..

I managed to get up for a bit earlier, sat in the shower for half hour with it as hot as I could stand it, then got dressed and took OH to see her Mum, it's only 3 miles so not too far to drive but the cold out there really made things worse so we dint stay too long.. Hoping to be a bit better in the morning..

Tony i was at the pub from 2002 til 2004 so sometime between then, Leicestershire. The village were we where was on a fault & its all granite..Ive never felt one before.

Sorry your still not good, more rest for you then.
Its chilly here too, had to go over the outlaws earlier as there in Newcastle & check the house. Couldnt wait to get home in the warm.
i have to wear legging under me trousers ATM as my legs get so cold,cant bear it :roll:

I didn't realise how cold it was outside, it's been mild for a few days so I dint bother putting my thermals on, boy was it painful, I hate the cold....

Bet it was a tad frightening during that earthquake then? Apparently the UK gets at least one a year...

it was -0 on the car thermo thinggy this afternoon.Its supposed to be getting colder again this week :roll: My joints dont like the cold & i always feel cold.
think i'll have to get the fluffy PJs out again tonight.

Yep it was very scary & heard/felt the aftershock too. Sounded like a train roaring towards us just thought the whole place was gonna fall down as it rocked :shock: we had a smaller one a few years later but some how i slept through that one.

Gotta keep the thermals at hand on a morning in winter..
OH is great and usually warms them for me, she gets up she usually puts the heating on for me...

Reckon the cold snap is definately back now, hope it doesn't get as bad as it was, minus 11/12... Horrible...

Belated greetings, yet again, I seem to have shirked my duties on the cruise, what with family visits and more family visits.......declined to go round to gather again this evening, to see relatives, they could see I was washed out this afternoon, so I did not have to make excuses.

Anyway, warming hugs all round and yes, I remember a couple of years back, sat at the computer and I thought someone was shaking my chair, it freaked me out, OH was upstairs and I was shrieking - lo and behold an earthquake announced on the news.

It is cold here too Tony, my bones, chest, etc, etc, are not fairing well at the moment, keep taking the pills.

Did the cruise arrive in port, I have not been back to check.

Ah she's a nice wifey.
My OH is good, helps me alot. were supposed to be going out tomorrow & have to take the wheels as i cant walk to were i want to go on crutches. He still has L Plates on whilst pushing me but i need some new clothes. Best wrap up warm then.
I want one of them silly hats too with the furry side flaps :oops: Ive never worn a hat before but my ears nearly fell off in the cold spell so i dont care what i look like i want to be warm :roll:
Evening bubbles, you crept in whilst i wasnt looking. Aw still poorly You rest up now. Ive been washed out too & havent done as much as you. I did xmas dinner & went out new yrs eve.

Hi Bubbles, the cruise is well on it's way, we've been to tenneriffe and next stop is africa, having a safari there, I will arrange for the helicopter to pick you up from your door if you like.. Hopefully some sunshine will make you feel better

Steady as you go with the learner driver, we are both in need of a rest and after seeing to the folks tomorrow, I think we will have a few days at our own pace, I walked about 30 yards the other night and was nearly on the floor. Not helped with a chest infection I know, plus it was cold, no wonder I could not breathe. Happy shopping though hun.

Tony, you are very kind, now then, Safari, that = spiders and bugs and a HUGE array of creepy crawlies, you might have to get a temporary Matron for that leg of the journey, I don't like Spiders and snakes -funny, I feel a song coming on............
If I can stay on board ship, and potter, then that will be ok.

Well think I had better get the fire going...and the grill...think everyone is away on the cruise
right I have made creamy fish pie...not keen myself but oh likes it.....chicken and bacon pasta...with low fat cream cheese....and veggie option is stew very delicious and warming ....will make a cuppa if anyone fancy one......
hope everyone are keeping wellish....I have a stinking cold...so staying in today.....oh and we have snow..
