Sounds like bed is the best place to be and like you say the jobs can wait.
Glad the meds are taking the edge off things.
Thought I'd never get back on the forum, luckily the webmanager managed to sort me out!!
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -

Thanks chris7! I duveted yesterday and for a fair bit of today - it is the only thing that helps, really. I am thoroughly medicated on tramadol plus the odd co-co or two - that has helped too! I hope you are as well as you can be. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi DD
Yes all fine here ta, tho' I did a bit of duveting myself yesterday in order to recharge the batteries. Got quite a shock to see that pm pop up very impressed with that. If only I could find my avatar and everyone else's. Don't recognise peeps without them. Am sure they will appear soonish.
Do hope the meds give you some relief there DD. Hang in there.
Will try and look in on you tomorrow. ((( ))))

Hi DD,
Just dropping in a ((( ))) and a hope xx0 -
I think I had am imposter on here yesterday - whoever she was she wasn't me. Rough night last night followed by a rough start to the day. Ho hum.
topnesp, you achieved a rare event with your post - you made me cry! You daft 'aaporth, you crow all you want mate. You had a problem which severely affected your life, it's been fixed and all is well in your world - that is something to celebrate, it must be so wonderful and gorgeous and yes, I admit it, I am deeply envious of you and speedy and all the other lucky people who have new joints and less pain. I know that replacements don't work such magic for all those who have them but the successes seem to outweigh the failures and it must be a totally splendid thing. You crow, but still be careful please - we don't want any accidents!
My thanks to skezier and everyone else who has posted for me since yesterday - your support means a great deal and it really helps. I hope you are all having a considerably better week-end than me! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Hi DD - why did you think it was an imposter :?:
you are always there for us when we have a bad time or feeling down :!:
hope you are feeling little bit better - please take care and give yourself time - trouble is with 'arthur' as you know - everything takes time - to getting the rightish medicaitons to getting over flare ups
here are loads (((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))) and support for you.

Hi DD
So glad pain under control, i hope u feel much better soon. I'm off my meds (see R consultant thurs) and although thankfully my fingers r not so swollen my psoriasis on back of my neck is back with a vengeance, I've not been off my meds since I started, I didn't realise what a difference they made, naive I know. Wishing u well Poppy x'grá agus solas'

Hi psyart, thanks for your message. Why do I think yesterday's DD was an imposter? She was far too cheerful, far too happy and under some illusion that the pain was controlled. What a twonk. Today's DD is much more sensible and recognises yesterday for the blip it was.
Hello poppygirl, you are off your meds? Why? I can't remember what I missed - I do apologise. I am sorry about the P, as usual I have none but I do have some fatter joints and lots of bruises! You said you are seeing your bloke on Thursday - what are you hoping for? Are you due a meds review or somesuch? Please let us know how you get on, I hope it goes well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Hi DD,
Had to come off my Mtx and Sulfa as had low blood count, I'd gone to see gp as felt like I had flu, achy (much more than usual!) I was very weepy and didnt have my usual grip on things. Gp said WBC low so come off and make an appt to see my consultant, I'll fill u in once I've seen her Thursday, hopefully all will be well, I do feel better, albeit the psoriasis an I can go back on Meds.
Hope u feel better soon DD, u have been so supportive since I joined the forum take care x'grá agus solas'

Afternoon poppygirl, thanks for your answer. It sounds to me as tho you had an infection, so yes, off the meth until it clears (that has happened to me once or twice, and I don't have the meth the week I have my flu jab) but I never stopped - or been advised to stop - the sulpha etc. My GP sensibly takes the view that he knows nothing about my PA and its treatment (he is right, he doesn't) and he leaves it up to the rhuematology unit to sort me out. I have a Helpline I can ring for advice if I do contract an infection or have any other enquiry - do you? Anhyoo, you are seeing someone on Thursday, which is a good thing, so please let me know how you get on. I hope you are feeling as well as you can today. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi DD
As you know I have been galavanting this weekend, bonfires and shopping now I am completely whacked but just had to pop on to see how you were doing. Still not so good eh? you poor thing but i am glad you had some duvet time to try to recharge.

I am off to lay down now don't want any tea I am too tired but hey had a great day with my daughter so it is worth the sicky achy feeling i have now. (will never learn)

Hello to everyone else too x0 -
Hi DD
Just a quick peek around and to leave a few more soothing hugs to add to the others (((( )))).
Hope you have had a better day today. It has been so cold here so I hope you did stay tucked up in bed with the telly on.
Best place for you when you are struggling. Hope the meds are giving you some relief. Hang in there. Thinking of you.

HI DD
not sure that I am best placed today to send soothing hugs your way, but here's my best attempt ((((((())))))))
sorry your joints are not playing ball (or any other acceptable game  ) and I really hope that you get more days like the one where the 'imposter DD' was in evidence - Those days may be few and far between, but seize them and enjoy them whenever they do appear .... they are well worth it - honest
take care
hugs WOnky0 -
Hi Dd
How are you doing today? hope you slept well and that your joints are starting to feel a little better.

Morning all, it's a wild and windy one here today with some very heavy rain to boot - lovely. I am awake, I have made it downstairs, everything is zinging nicely but at least moving is an option, so I should be grateful for small mercies. And I will try to be.
This is normally the time that I begin to slide gracefully into the area known as the 'thin end of the humira wedge', but as I slammed into that territory two days after injecting that stuff I guess the only way now is up. I shall wait and see. I have to go out later today, so I shall be playing the 'Don't skid on the leaves' game, so belovéd of arthritic crutch users - four limbs = four times the chance of going head over heels, so that should be entertaining. Not. I hate this life - may I have a new one? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
