Hi Cris just checked in to this post ...I have to agree....Colours are dreadful.. my daughter is reading most of the posts I want to look at and I am dictating replies at times.......but the novelty is wearing off!!
Sorry you are feeling rough hope things mend soon! Love C0 -
Hi Ceebeam
Oh right - I thought it was me who was being a bit 'slow on the uptake' with getting to grips with the colours!
Hi again Cris
Well, I'm thinking of going to bed fully dressed cos I'm not sure my roof will stay on overnight and I don't want to appear on the breakfast tv news standing in the street in my short dressing gown (not a pretty sight)..
Love from Marion0 -
Hi Marion,
Nice to see you got back
Tis rough out there.... they say its 50mph but you know what.... I could only just walk into it! Either its more or I getting some week
Haz loves it, and excuse to bark every time something hit the wall... there are things moving about cus I didn't batten down as well as I should have.....
I slept in the armchair again last night... in 2 fleeces and a body warmer in front f the stove..... its that cold or the drip has worn off.... Now there is a special little nightmare of mine
You stay safe and I shall send up a lodger to sit on your roof and hold it down... got a big shed that seems to be thinking of visiting before dawn at this rate but electric is still here
Sending you a ((((( ))))) and some smacho's for the dogs. Love Cris xxx
Hi CB,
Oh this colour.... it was a nice kind to my eyes shade and then suddenly without warning it went white.... Toni said earlier I might excluded.... I did for a bit there but now got the brightness turned down to 30.... bit kinder but harder to see....
Kinda sorry you got trouble (you too Marion) but glad its not just me..... though my right eye is now shot to bits and has hardly any vision.... ((( ))) and the rest is pure rant.... Cris xx
Here we go again......
Saw gp who told me there was nothing wrong last time and at least I could say HAH!!! She is talking to the eye dept and the rumo and ringing me back in the morning... they wont do anything, they never do.....
Its the optic nerve, thankfully only one eye as ever the right one and you know what....
They are just sat there doing nothing while my bones and eyes are eaten! I might have to come off the mtx for a week or two cus I am riddled with cold and its gone on to the chest... ok I ask for that bit...
Am off the diclo's and swelling up with inflammation and I am so sick of all this....
The cope is chained down but I think it just may have died.....
To cap it all this site is such a bad colour again!
Oh such a happy little **** eh?!
Will have to wait and see what the gp comes up with but at least now she has seen the eye in flare! Part of me is yelling HAH still.....
Kinda tempted to cover this useless eye.... it would worry me less if I stopped trying to see through it Its all so painful and chuck in the bones and the fact the mtx has lost its hold on the crohn's and well....... I shall go and be helpful and stop doing the me, me, me thing....... Sorry... bad week...... but the sheep might be a shade less lame but of course I can't see so good :roll:0 -
Oh Cris, its not getting any better for you is it
Im glad you saw the gp & she has seen how bad the eye is.
sending you more (((()))) & a hope that they sort something out for you.
luv debs0 -
Hi Debs,
Flower it just doesn't stop... but sadly not just for me.
I know you now the dummy spit I am sick of it scenario......
Maybe we will get better help someday eh? I think they will ice skating in hell in my case before that happens but I am a bit down so maybe not thinking too good ....... oh what an understatement
Sending you a ((((( ))))) and rant debs, that's the answer but we both need to learn to direct our rants at the people who let us down treatment and help wise..... I don't know as I ever will but you go for it girl Love Cris xxx0 -
My, it is windy++ the dog is quite worried about it and won't leave my side.
Have found the new site as have been away. The eyes are not focusing properly yet on the new colours and layout. I do prefer the old one though  I suppose we have to move forward.0 -
Morning cris
Hope the forum is better for you to read now although I can't see what they have changed Something about backgrounds but it looks the same to me,
well I bet you have been blown about a bit, most of the country has. Hope you havent had any damage, and that the animals are ok.
I hope you are feelng ok and while you are outside, keeping warm
Have a good weekend, hope weather improves for you
Take care
JuliePF x I use the word hope alot don't I Will have to think of another word out with the thesaurus0 -
Hi Cris,
just catching up on your posts ... don't know where to start. I would definitely cover up that eye for a bit ... give it and your brain a rest from having to ignore/interpret what it is "seeing."
Are you on antibiotics for the chest infection? Giving up the mtx for a short spell is always a total nightmare with the bones and especially the crones isn't it.
Battling against the wind, wet and cold can't be easy and unavoidable unless you and the lodgers all move in together?! With the short daylight hours ... and horrid weather it really doesn't help with energy levels and mood.
Do you not have space for a bed downstairs for when you can't face leaving the armchair? Perhaps there is a piece of furniture that is under used that could be moved/rehomed/given away (perhaps for eggs???! Isn't that how you Cornish barter )
Take care,
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Morning skezier, I hope you survived the gales - well, it was wild up here! I think it's time to cover that eye up and rest it. The straining to see must be aggravating matters, so give it a rest, literally, assuming that the other eye provides sufficient feedback. I am not sure what the position is re: driving tho, I know that it is perfectly legal to drive when sighted in only one eye if that is a proven medical condition but if it's something like this? Probably best to uncover it again.
You are gong thro the mill, there is no doubt about that, adn your doc should be doing more - but what, well, I dunno. CDM will be on its way to you, I hope it helps. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
hi Cris
what can I say you are really going through the mill again . I agree with others - cover eye up for a while and let it rest :!:
as will all the other things - i just dont know what to say . just giving you loads ((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))) to help you - not sure if it will but not sure what else i can do
please take care - and can you get a bed downstairs :?:
more (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))) just in case :!: :!:

Mornin Border, Julie, Speedy and DD,
It was a stormy old night...... blown out now and just rain.....
Border so glad you got back and nice to see you My old springer used to freak in this weather especially when the wind whistles round the end like it does so know what you mean about your dog.
I lost her last year and these don't seem so bothered unless something hits the walls or window (my big fear is the windows )
It was a better colour flower... or easier on the eyes but they changed it and just now I can only see it with the brightness turned so far down its messing up contrast... it might be worth trying though for you?
Hope you have a bit of calm now and they say its going to turn fine soon as well...... I kinda think that's doubtful! ((( ))) and it is nice to see you. Cris xx
Hi Speedy,
I live on one level flower which is easier I think.
The doc just rang and the eye dept said its not something they can help with so back to the brain and eyes thing cus nobody will own it!
She has read some of my noes and she is probably right its circulatory.... got to keep it warm and she said if its feels better covered to cover t but isn't sure that will help......
The rumo wants me to stay on the mtx but they are putting up some antibiotics.....She said its probably viral but cus the immune system is compromised and I got some cough it might help.....
I did ask her for a magic draft and she has promised if they ever get one she will let me have it
Oh I am allowed some old type 50 diclo's as and when but keep off the big ones till I seen the gastro even if the other treatment has clobbered the ulcer.....
Hope your ok after the fall flower and leaving you a ((( ))) xx
Hi Julie,
Oh the colour has really changed again.... its full of glare and white and its not good for some of us at all.... no poll on it so I guess they will leave it like this?
I hope not cus I wont be able to use it much cus if the left eye reacts to the glare I am stuffed.....
Flower its storm month.... We get the full force being so open and this is a bit high but it was rougher on the North Coast and flooding as well.... after Boscastle some of the villages get a bit twitchy in driving rain and gales...... The sea comes in as well.... but not here. This place send water cascading down as its sloped and it all runs off in a waterfall from the back hedge....... I kinda feel guilty about it but I can't stop it.......
Hope your doing ok? The weekend is dry sat and rain Sunday so a horrible indoor sale will have to be done..... Hate them.... I man hate them!! Leaving you a ((( ))) and a hope your doing ok? xx
Hi DD,
A lot of us are struggling just now flower. I so wish the others weren't.
Hey the shoulder is fighting like hell with the botox but guess what... its losing! Maybe that is the answer eh? Course the right one only had 2 jabs (the left was smothered ) and that one is nicely locking up...... The neck is swelling into the brain, I got a stammer from hell and you know what the vets said they would bolt me and I said bring it on... that's when they backed away quite quickly cus I kinda mean it.......
Its not easy to keep hold on to any hopes (Julie you use that word as much as you like flower).
Driving.... its ok with one eye but you actually have to lose 65% of your eye sight and so far I am safe.... If the left one joins its brother I wont be able to but that's rare and the left one self rights well and quickly... the right is damaged cus its had it too much....
Had a mate down and gave her a bit of a shock. For the first time she noticed I ain't so well.... She wont have the eyes though at all so I kinda programed at the mo to eye denial
The glare... well they did know about it but obviously they have given it back to us just the same. Bit disillusioned to be honest.
You take care flower and ta muchy cdm is the magic cure You want a cuppa with it/ (((( )))) and hope your doing okish? xx
Hi Louise,
I think I will have to cover it flower it can't take bright light and is dancing about all over the place... hey it will also help to keep it warm
Hope you got through the storm ok? I still think the one 3 nights ago was worse! That's cus of the power going off but also when I invited the right eye to kick off...... I got to start wearing this stupid hat......
Calm now flower but its not over the usual November weather eh? Gales and rain... come from the USA do you think we can bellow it back
Ta for the hugs and as many as you need winging their way over the pits to you I think you got the worst of the wind your side last night?
I am going to get a Beaufort reader.... I just sometimes wonder how strong it really is here.....That's sad eh.... ((( ))) and a hope your doing ok? xxx0
