Hi,
The place I've got to go to is a new part off a hospital {long time since I've been in the old bit} so I thought I would ring the appointments desk just to check where to go.....Havent got a letter because of the short notice. Spoke to a lad on appointments who explained how to get there and I said "my appointment is 1.45pm" No its 9.30am WHATTTTT!!!!!!!!!! Mr Sandersons clinic is in the morning....he wouldnt have been here if you had come at 1.45.
Am I being messed about or what with this appointment??? :x
So pocket duty is going to be earlier.....hope you can all get out of bed LOL
Love
Hileena

    Hi Hileena,
Well is there anything that has gone to plan with this appointment? Now you will feel you have to double check everything. Will you have enough time to get there?
Will certainly be on pocket duty but please can I avoid the smelly cheese pocket?

I hate that feeling of not being able to trust what they have said.

Happened to me when I turned up for a rheumy nurse appointment to find out that it had been cancelled. Didn't really trust the others in my diary so rang and double checked twice

    good luck!

Hello, Maybe all the gremlins are being used up on this appointment and not on the consultation with the specialist, which hopefully will be good. Good luck thinking of you. someone else for your pocket!! Love Sue

Hi, Well the results from the back specialist.......to start of with he didnt have my MRI.....he had the text part of it but not the actual scan itself.
After getting me to walk in bare feet, balance on one leg or try to LOL he said that it seemed to be referred pain from my back......not my hip?????
I lay down and he moved the un operated one which was due to be done last Oct......he moved it twisted it etc and said you dont need that hip replaced......certainly not now.......I was sore afterwards but not in agony.....my back is quite sore today {before seeing him} so he says physio is the first step and if that doest work they will refer me back to him but he doesnt think surgery is on the cards. So thats the next thing ...waiting to hear from the physio.
    Thanks everyone
    Love

Now I am really confused. So, new hip not required, it was back trouble all along? You were right then, hileena, to cancel that op. I hope the physio works for you and helps things improve. DD

You're confused DD???? So am I.
When you get 2 consultants giving you conflicting info its not much help. The hip one was ready to do my 2nd hip 6 weeks after back treatment had finished????

You are so right - and what conflict in their advice. Are you feeling more settled about it all now, or not? DD

    Hi Hileena
Well, If they can sought you without surgery all well and good, bet you are glad you didnt have the second op.
My xrays says both my hips need doing, but I am not convinced , I am sure some if not most of my pain is from my back.
So thanks to you I can now put this to my consultant on the 25th.
I do hope that physio work for you, good luck with it all.

    Hi Hileena

It's when the nerves send signals to another place from the place originally poorly. That makes very lttle sense does it!!!

It's why I didnt get my bursitis sorted for SEVEN years!!! I thought it was 'just' referred pain (not just is there Hileena)

Hope he is able to get your physio very quickly for you.

He will have the MRI to look at when he sees you next i take it though?

Please do let us know how it goes.

    LOve

    Hi Hileena,
Well that is a turnaround for you. It’s a shame about the missing MRI results though. The prospect of not having to have an op in the near future is good, yes?

Hi......No not feeling more settled really....not sure why....I suppose because he didnt have my mri scan to look at....just the text bit of it. Its excellent that I am not having any surgery and that the 2nd hip doesnt seem to need doing...not for a while anyway but i think it was the casual way I am being sent to physio and still not really any wiser
