    Hi Chris
I am so sorry things aren't happening, but they will my love, you underestimate yourself just like I do.
When I went for my appointment, the consultant was nice but kept talking over me, so I just kept thing back to what some of the lovely people on here have said.
I did get across to him how I feel, but still came out wishing I had said this that and the other.
I am behind you all the way, you can do it, has for the gp appointment, be prepared, I know you needed it sooner, but it will give you time to go over things.
Sending you Lots of very warming hugs (((((((())))))
    Love

    Chris,

I am sure your dad will be looking out for you too.
I agree with Elna that it was a non-appointment. Book another and insist on seeing the usual consultant as he has suggested you need surgery but as you were seen by someone else(they were obviously trying to clear a backlog) who clearly didn't know your history you are left feeling confused. Another year indeed.....
I have a similar issue with my Hip and ankle. One says need to get ankle done soon in order to give time to recover for hip THR another says no rush.
I hope your Sister's op goes well Chris and try not to worry.

Hi Guys, thanks DD, Iris, Barbara, Julie, Elizabeth you just sneaked in there bless ya.

Having lappie probs here it keeps preparing to crash and enquiring if I want to repair start up procedures!! Hope it holds out.

Haven't been out since Wednesday but need to venture out in the several inches of snow for milk so will be giving the hip a trial run before work tomorrow. Am really struggling with the sniffles which isn't helping.

Yes am glad I will see my own doc at least though am now toying with a complaint to the hossie anyway now the anger has hit. I prepared for that appointment for months, took a days leave to be sat around for hours and then told to go home!! Not a happy bunny and am cross I allowed myself to be fobbed off again and limped away like a lamb instead of saying something. You may be right DD if I had had someone with me he might not have found it so easy to dismiss me. Will forever be my word against his.

Know what you mean about taking a break from work Iris, but sadly there is no sick pay at the factory. Only SSP if I get myself signed off. I realise it may come to that at some point but tho' I have never been the fasted fudge packer in the West I have always been reliable.

Hi Elizabeth the whole thing smelled of cost cutting to me but I have worked all my life and damn it I deserve better than that eh! Am finding me fight I hope.

Hope you all coping with slings and arrows. Many thanks for calling in when things are not easy for any of you just now. Hugs right back at you (((( ))))

    Good for you Chris :!:

you're quite right to put in a complaint. maybe if more of us did so the same thing wouldn't be as likely to happen again to any of us.

I know you're right about 'having' to go in to work....no-one can live on fresh air... but please take care.

We've got snow now too (is there anyone now who hasn't ?) but I'll be staying well and truly 'put'. :!: good luck Chris venturing out in it!

    warm (((hugs)))

    Hi Chris,
What an awful appointment......you should ring his secretary [AT LEAST] and complain about it....say it was a very unsatisfactory appointment.
Sounds a bit like me with the back consultant....I phoned all sorts of people, his secretary/hip consultants secretary/GP/Physio {that he said he was going to refer me to.....got results.....physio appoiintment for Monday.,
So make a nuisance of yourself {in a nice way ...you get further} but tdont let them think you are just accepting this

    Hi Chris,
I do hope that you have had better help this week at the shop. Sorry that you have to wait until the 10th for your Dr’s appointment, but you should have simmered nicely by then and hopefully you will be able to get your complaint across to her and hopefully she will take it from there.
I do hope that your sister’s op goes ahead this time. Fingers crossed for her.

I'm so sorry Chris.........it's awful when you've got yourself going on all cyinders and then someone cuts the ground from under your feet.

Plenty of time to come up with Plan B, though..........

Hope you can find the strength to keep going and all good and positive feelings for your sis; take care and keep warm in this weather.

    Love
    Annie
