A spade might be a good idea :P Its quite bad here....I live just over the border between Tyne and Wear and Northumberland. The gritters get as far as the Tyne and Wear Border and then turn round....dont seem to have much in Northumberland :( The Hospital is in Northumberland so going the wrong way for clear roads LOL......
Peter will be takibng me but I wonder how many of the staff will make it in tomorrow morning if they live out there?????...maybe further out??? Oh well.....take it as it comes

I am late looking in hileena, my apologies. Something went catastrophically wrong last night, I had a good night's sleep - I am now bewildered and frightened! :D The very best of luck -this is sooooo not the time for bad weather, I know! Take care and let us know, when you can, how you got on. Thinking of you. DD

    Hi,
Well we got there OK....very slow but did arrive.....coming back not bad but when we got to our street it took 3 men, digging and pushing us to get us to the house. So thats us for the day.
Its snowing heavier than ever now.
OK...appointment....Saw a senior physio,.......quite early as a lot of people had cancelled. Did reflexes, asked loads of questions, checked my walking and the shape of my back etc.....Couldnt find any reflexes??? Anyone come across that before? She got another physio in {I had seen him years ago when fiorst diagnsoed} he agreed with her....nothing in my legs and dull reflexes in my "upper limbs" but no red flags showing {his exact words} She gave me a couple of gentle exercises to do and wants to see me in a weeks time when she will examine me more and give me more exercises
    Love

So, nothing too horrendous then. I don't know much about reflexes - is the lack of them significant? They are the ones to tell you that! Do the exercises, gently, and let's hope they help. Now stay in! It's bad in your neck of the woods, that much I do know! What little snow we had has melted in the sun. DD

    Hi Hileena :D

glad you managed to get to the hossie and back! this snow is just too much.

Physio sounds careful and gentle with you which is good!

lack of reflexes? the only time I had that was with a prolapsed disc in my back pressing on the nerves and on examination I had no reflex reaction in one knee/ foot.... but I also had numbness and pain too.

Maybe next time you go you can ask the physio what it means?

Did the phys know about the MRI results and say whether they were to report back to the specialist?

After your hazardous journey you'll be needing to rest with a big mug of tea... or two.
    take care and stay warm...

    Hi Hileena

So glad you are back safe and all has been well.

It meant nerve damage for me when I had done my back in. I think - I had it before I had my back surgery.... dont panic though! This can be temporary.

Glad also it was the senior one - only the best for you :) and gentle exercises sounds good.

Will try to pm you later (having a mad day)

    Well done.

    Love

Hi, Well I'm not worrying about the lack of reflexes....maybe i should be but cant be bothered LOL
Yes she was very nice Seeing her in a weeks time so will ask her about reflexes then.
She asked what I expected to get out of my visits....I said more mobility, less pain and a better nights sleep.
She said that next week she would examine me more and see what else she could find out but that was enough for today......
Woke up with a very sore head and still have it {thinking back went to bed with a sore head} but apart from that I'm OK....
The weather is getting worse here. I'll have cabin fever before long LOL....Seriously my main worry is that my avon wont be delivered on time.....normally it wouldnt bother me but because its comig up to Christmas....I want them deleivered in time.
So all in all it was a good appointment.
    Love
