The reason I 'let off steam' is because I too have had to fight for my life on more than one occasion. Not a pleasant experience - but you know all about that too of course.
I was and am rude as Elizabeth and yourself seem to think because I think you are a know it all and extremely arrogant.
Just thought I would give you some of your own medicine. Most ex-army men can't take their own treatment. And I definitely know all about that one.
Perhaps you shouldn't bragg so much, then people like me would keep their mouths shut.

Well my theme to this post is really is living up to it's name!, I go away for a minute or so and all hell breaks loose!. well nearly!!, hey is it me or has logic finally broken down?, the rozzers beat the crap out of kids heads with flippin big stick giving some brain damage and a lot more hugh lumps and cuts needing stiches and the home secretery (that foxy chick with the bloody awful dress snse and really annoying two tone voice) chirps up, "well we might start using water cannons next time!", way to go Mrs May, lets just think on that for a mo shall we, lets see water cannon=frozen protester v's **** on the head with big nasty stick and brain damage now call me stupid but water should have been the first choice I mean who wants to go rioting soaked to the skin in the middle of winter, and it would have been very hard to light petrol bombs or spray paint walls etc and you try taking a p in a water fall not going to happen is it. hmmm well in my book it's a bit of a, now here comes the joke, are you ready for it!?.

I didn't like to start another debate off but yes I was very upset that they dragged a young person out of their wheelchair and then dumped them. What an awful thing to do.

To get back to the original post, the Scottish Parliament has always had devolved power over student finance and decided to scrap up-front tuition fees for Scottish students at Scottish universities in 2000-01. Not saying it's right for this to be the case, but there you have it.

As for heavy handed police officers, I agree that some of them get more than a bit of pleasure out of whacking someone with an asp, but I wouldn't like to be standing there faced with an angry mob and having to think "oh well, I'll just have to let them assault me, and throw missiles at me, it's all part of the job". They are humans, and it's human nature to want to defend yourself.

I have seen some footage of a boy being dragged out of his wheelchair. If they were worried about his safety then they should have wheeled him away in his wheelchair. Sorry but I think he was more vulnerable left sitting on the pavement.

Hi Elizabeth, well he could have been really dangerous, just think he could have run his wheeels over their feet, all very nasty, and sitting on the ground also doesn't make him harmless, he could have wriggled up to them and bite thier ankles, no they should have also hit him on his head until he was totally subdude, very danerous are these disabled people don't be fooled by them they use their disability to lull the poor old riot police into a false sense of security, I mean they could have anything under those blankets, full colostomy bags hot water bottles thermos flasks, anything that could be used as a weapon really! ) .

You see my logic dangerous lot them disabled next thing will be some terrorist splinter group setting up and before you know it civil war, well a slow one as they can't get about on unstable ground but war is war and if it means the odd sitting down person gets brain damage then so be it, that's the price we have to pay to keep order!!.

Not sure if anyway has listen to the news this evening about the fees for university!!! Children from UN will pay no fees if they go to Scotland but English do???? They did say something about wales but my hubby was yelling at the tv at this point and i missed what they said. HOW CAN THIS BE HAPPENING?????? Surely it should be all students paying or none and the fact that students form the UN get it free when English have to pay is just bang out of order.
The quote i loved the most was they needed to charge money to the English so the Scottish students could continue to get a fee education. Certainly a huge divide and even with no fees education is not free with accommodation etc. Wonder how this will all end??? Protest by students in Scotland next????
