Morning Rob, I hope all is as well as it can be. I hope the VF has drowned in the pile of the stuff (not yours, tho). Please send my regards to Lewis. DD

I haven't been sick since yesterday evening, and the nausea isn't too bad........Which is nice.....

But mouth and tongue ulcers have now made an impressive appearance..........

Question...........can you get Bonjela on draught.....

So all in all, a definate improvement over yesterday.....

Maybe Christmas won't be too bad..

Oh yes......also lost 8lbs in weight since Sunday........

Highlight of the day so far.........

The underkeeper and I just tucked into a chip roll.......with loads of salt and vinegar......

He's never had one before.......Its now offically his favourite food.......

Draught Bonjela? Now there's a thought! How about a salt-water rinse instead? Salt does heal but with something like that Rob - surely they can give you summat? Or is it yet another thing that docs can't cure with a little pill? As for the roll - surely you need ketchup! I see the underkeeper has lost his scarf - is it warmer where you are? DD

Have you not been given the mouth wash...medicated and numbs the mouth beautifully? If not ask for some. No tomatoes, salt and vinegar crisps for you for a while then... :):):):):):)

    Hi Rob,
Sorry to read that you are having such a rotten time health wise. Great that you have such good help there with Lewis.
Mouth ulcers are the pits; I do hope that you can get something to take the edge off.

Erm...chip butties your Lewis is a young man of taste. If you can’t resist; have some chips with gravy. (Needs must as they say).

Sorry Rob, have only just seen this thread.

Glad you're picking up - hope you don't have another dose of chemo before Christmas. x:|

Vinegar on your chips will sort out the men from the boys especially with your ulcers.

(The Christmas shock smilie looks like someone who's had too many late nights IMO!)

    I'm fine today....

    No nausea.....

Mouth ulcers.......well lets say they are a 'tad' sore....

    Been using mouthwash hospital suggested......

    And using salt water.......

    Hot is OK.....

But anything even remotely firm, even bread is a no no....

Porridge is ok.....so that will do.....

I love the stuff anyway.......so thats a plan....

I felt a little 'vunerable' during the night, so called Macmillan Nurses.....

    Just to have a chat........

    Marvelous job they do........

Right, better get my **** in gear.....

May engage my brain later as well.......it needs an airing.....

The underkeeper went home last night.......

Won't see him until Christmas day now.......

My dear Rob, I am pleased you rang MacMillan, that cannot have been easy for you, and I am glad they helped. Just having someone to listen is enough, yes? They know their stuff on this front: we will prop as best we can but very few of us really understand what you are going thro. I will happily own up to the fact that I don't have a clue. But I care. Hi Rob

I'm glad to hear that the nausea has gone at least.

What a great job the Macmillon nurses do x:!: It must be so reassuring to be able to contact them when you feel in need of advice and support.

I hope that you will manage to enjoy your Christmas dinner, even if it is only porridge x:)

    Thinking of you

Rob, glad that the nausea is diminishing and that you find something that helps with the ulcers - I do know about those and I use Anabesol - find it better than Bonjela.

Those Macmillan nurses are angels, no two ways about that! They were lovely with my mother and helped her in so many ways.

All my good wishes and positive thoughts for you for 2011.

    Love

I found a cure....or at least some relief for mouth ulcers.....

Doner Kebab with extra chilli sauce......

After the second mouthful, you can't feel you face....let alone a few ulcers.....

    Good plan eh???

    Been a good day....

    Not sickness and no nausea.....

Thnak you to all those that have offered help and support....
