    Hey Tony,

I hope that you are starting to feel the benefits slowly... any joy yet?

I haven't had the same ones as you, I had the jab that affects you all-over (can't remember the name). When I had that one, felt nothing for 2 weeks, then got vertigo for 2 weeks (which has now been linked to the jab), but then had 3 weeks of relief over the festive period. Sadly it wore off rather quickly, but I do hope that the wait for you means that you'll get longer relief in the long run!

    ((((HUGS))))

    xx

I have had the jabs you mentioned, in the old butt cheek? I can't rememeber what they're called either, but they've not much for me in the past, apart from one morning I woke up with the energy of Benny Hill on speed.... Pity my body wasn't in sync though...

    Toni, cheers hun...

    Hi Tony,

Hope the nerve tests help... not sure if they are better negative or not... Mine said I don';t have carpal tunnel which is good but i do have problems and its turned out to be the pa its self  For that they are no longer treating me.. just palliative so for me it might have been better if it had been positive cus at least then they do something

Hope the xrays help as well. How long before you find out? Cris xx

Hi Cris, with the nerve tests I go to see the rheumy nurse next month (18th I think) to get the results..
The xrays are of mi knees, ordered by the orthopeadic triage fella, he'll be the one who decides if I get to see the ortho surgeon, personally I am quite sure I need left arthroscopy minimum, probably both..

    Hope you are ok tonight??

    Hi Tony,

Not too long to wait then? i really hope you get a good result on both.

like you i had my cartilage removed in my teens but though they no longer do that (i think I was lucky) it really did do me a favour long term I think.....

I got a bit of luck on my side..... I get disfigurement and lack of movement but i don't get the pain... except in the back and neck  Got a bit of nerve damage and a big head injury back along and that's helped to stop me noticing pain I think.... it also explains a lot :lol:

I am temporarily stuffed boy.... it gets better... it does get better. now say it 10 times

Will be with for the 18th but might need reminding....

Ear drums being thumped just now... not Robbie though ....:lol: Cris xx

Thank God it's not Robbie, lol....

I hate the bloody knees :evil wish they would just have a bloody break, ooo, that's an idea, if I break em they might replace em, haha..

Reet, I is off... Going to watch something or other before trying to get some kip..
    Cheers Cris

    Be well and goodnight

Well I think I can say without a doubt that the injections I had on the 7th of january ain't doing bugger all.. Even if they are slow release I'm sure they would have done something by now, in fact things are worse at the minute, weather ain't helping, but my knees and back are really bloody hurting.... Hoping it's not the start of another flare up.. Oh joy of joys eh? LOL
As a wise friend once said... It'll pass, all things do!

Wish it would hurry up about it then :x

As they were steroid injections Tony then yes, something should have happened by now BUT you have caned it a bit in the past few weeks haven't you? The Maltesers, the drive to Derby and back, furniture moving and construction - I know you want to do things but perhaps you have really pushed your limits: I am not saying that this has directly affected whatever the steroids might have done, but could it be a possibility? I am so sorry, they have never really worked for me and I know how disappointing that can be. I don't know who the wise friend is but they are bang on the money! I hope you are resting a little now. DD

    Hi Tony
I am really sorry they are not working, I had them in the joints in my back early last year, you guessed it they didnt work....but like I said the pain nurse told me that this is common and a second lot could work.....I may give it another go, said may
Take care of yourself....and stop the lifting

    Thanks ladies..
Only thing I'll be trying to lift for a while is my spirits! Lol

My parents have just turned up from Skeggy for a couple of days.. They wanted to come and see us, plus the friend that had a stroke is an old friend of theirs so they want to see him and his missus.

They brought me an early birthday present to cheer me up, a really nice telescope.. Pity it's cloudy, haha...

Julie  , don't think they'll offer new knees, too young!
    Don't bloody feel too young..

Sat outside supermarket now, can't even walk round there today. Having trouble shuffling round the house, lol..

Wonder what that wise friend of mine would say.. :???: :???: :???: :wink:

Tony, I had my first set of knees at 35 in 1981 and I'm still using one of them. I had a great GP who pleaded my case. Hope they can manage something to help you.
