Glad it's going better for you today, cherrybim. Don't 'neighbours' make a big difference? I'd hate a private room.

    You're absolutely right Sticky

During the years that I had insurance for private care I felt soooooo lonely being on my own. B***** the private rooms! In my dotage I love having someone to chat to  I'm like "Well this'll be my seventh operation on my left leg" "Ooo this is only my third" says the lady in the next bed. Then chat, chat, chat and not about medical things

My own room, every time, please. The times I have been in hospital I have ended up on wards where the inmates have been absolutely barking, revolting or both. DD

Hm, looks like you might have shared a ward with me at some point, DD.

Cherrybim, stick with the exercises. They're your quickest route out.

    HI Cherry,

You sound very positive. Glad they have got the pain back under control. When my nerve block wore off after my op they tried fobbing me off with just paracetomol to start with!!!!!!!! Luckily discovered by talking to another patient that there was a "pain nurse" and she helped get things sorted!

Are you up and moving about?

    Hello Speedy, Elizabeth and DD.

Yep, I'm beginning to make great strides now thank you

The eeks and squeaks are becoming fewer and fewer but the psoriasis is probably having a party judging by the state of my naked foot! Don't know whether the surgeon dropped his toolbox on my other toes though. They are all fetching shades of black and purple which I didn't experience when I had the other foot done and the maddening itchey coos are kicking in:lol:

Got it sussed though. As before I can wriggle a cotton bud soaked in Lanacane on part of the itches, arnica for the bruising works for me and the Loratadine prevents me from taking the garden shears to the bandaging so all's well

Now my mended foot is beginning to look real cute I've decided to paint my toenails "strawberry fields" this morning. That should take my mind off the poorly one!

Oooooh the glamour! You can reach your toenails to paint them? Lucky girl, I would have to use a cotton bud on the end of a long, long stick! I am sure all the bruising etc will settle - it does make me wonder what they actually DO to one whilst one is out for the count!  Anyhoo, I hope that overall you are more comfortable in yourself and feeling better/brighter. Tee hee DD, Despite arthur I'm still double jointed (or as it's known properly "hypermobile joints") so despite replacements I can still turn myself inside out, hence the ability to paint my toenails

Thank you Julie, you have a good day too

Hypermobile joints bring their own problems tho, don't they? I have only ever been single-jointed - I just wish some of 'em bloody worked now. Never mind, eh? I bet you are now looking v swish! DD

    Hi Cherry,
It’s great that you are recovering so well. Erm...black toes and strawberry field varnish??? Well a fashion setter in the making.

Seriously Cherry, I hope things improve more and more for you this week.

Morning cherrybim, how's the glamour puss of the forums today? What's the male equivalent of a glamour puss? Whatever it is that's bobbyger! I wonder if he's painted his nails? DD

Thank you Boleyn Blue and Ironic for your good wishes

Well DD Miss Whiplash is going to select her very bestest whip and thrash her foot silly. That should put a stop to all the fuss it's making!

Today I have decided to wax my eyebrows, being most careful not to wax my eyelashes too I hasten to add. After that I will dye all four of the items dark brown

Is "dandy" the masculine equivalent of "glamour puss" ? Not sure, perhaps we'd better ask Bobbyger if he's waxing his chest hair although personally I prefer men with hairy chests but will sanction him waxing his back.

I always equate dandy with fop though I am sure there is a difference between the two. Wow, cherrybim, you are going for it today aren't you? I get someone to 'do' my brows - I don't have the patience, same with my nails. I suppose I should really go and get washed and dressed. DD
