I just wanted to say a big thanks to you all for being so supportive.
It has been a really rough time for us as you know, firstly losing our beloved Cleo, and then to find out a good friend of mine had taken his own life the next day.... Deeply shocking and sad..

I know it has only been a few days but I am starting to come to terms with things, slowly.. You lot have been a big help that's for sure.

Having our Daughter here for the weekend has been lovely, haven't seen her since before Christmas.. It gave us something to smile about.

Guess I am rambling a bit...
At the minute I am feeling ok, but I know it won't be long before the tidal wave of sadness will knock me on my **** again... That wave will slowly get smaller though and over time should just be like the sea lapping at my feet, something to feel nice about, remembering the good and fun times.

Thank you, everyone who has been there for me & Janet..

Take it from one who knows - the waves do decrease in strength. Eventually. DD

    Hi Tony

bless you and well - no need at all to thank us - it's what we do best, support our friends.

You are doing amazingly well you know....and you are right the waves of pain do come less frequently and the strength of your's and Janet's relationship will get you through.

You take care and know we are always here.

    Love

    toni xx

    Hugs to Ra

We got the bill from the vets a couple of days ago, I couldn't bring myself to open it for a while... It is actually quite reasonable at under £ 22, and they had also put a condolences note on it too.
    Suppose I should pay it..

Missing Cleo like mad still, especially today, laid up, fed up and pretty low... Those blooming waves are building back up....
Guess it's because I've been used to having either our young un here or my folks who are up at the minute but they've gone out for the day..
    I'm rambling again, sorry...

Would someone kick me up the ar5e...? I'd do it myself but both my knees feel like someone has taken an axe to them..

You had two tough blows in very quick succession so it's no wonder you are feeling down. Factor in grotty knees (yes, understatement I know but I don't want to be banned for obscenties!) and of course you are struggling. Pain doesn't hurt anywhere near as much when lovely things are happening but it increases more than one hundred-fold when other things are not good. You know what I am going to say now: it will pass, all things do. I am thinking of you. DD

now theres a thought a pain party! having to focus on a specific pain rather than the dull grinding ache may be helpful to me today. Could be because i forgot to take meds at lunch yesterday so im a bit short on pain dullers at mo! Im thinking your hands are good as you volunteered the other day to slap someone? hehe, ill wak you slap, a stinging one to the cheek should see me right for a while!

Lol, I wish, my hands also hurt, reason I offered to slap was because they hurt anyway, might as well have some fun slapping someone..

Sounds like a plan though, all get together and just hit each other..
I think Rehab may enjoy it a bit too much though
Right, gonna see if the neighbour is up to popping round to make me a sandwich, don't think I can even stand up at the minute.
    Catch you in a bit..
