    Hi Pat

Yes im pleased its all over and its been a good day, absolutely knackered now but its been worth it....
My dad you know he is great, he goes walking with me, stops when i hurt too much and shows me exercises to try out......Couldnt be without him at all and you know he's worth his weight in gold (well should i say his weight in his falsies - TKR and THR, he's like metal mickey)........

Thanks for looking out for me...

I am so glad that you had a good appointment and that your Dad was able to go with you. There is nothing worse than having to go on your own.

Its good that you had a positive response from the consultant and that you are on the way to getting the operation that is needed. Good luck with the diet.

I hope that your sister gets well soon and that your Dad made it safely up to wherever he needs to be.

    Hi Elaine,
I hope you are relaxing by now and will enjoy a full night’s sleep tonight. I am so so pleased that things have turned round for you at last. I know you have a way to go yet but we both know you will get there.
Fingers crossed that tomorrow there is positive news about your sister.

    Hi Jaki

Yes it did mean a lot to me to have someone with me, it give you strength from somewhere not to feel like youre on your own...He's a good un.....
The consultant was very clear and positive and showed me he is only wants me to lose some weight, a little ask and he is willing to do a TKR...My life road back on track ....
Just spoke to dad and sister hasnt yet had gout diagnosed but hopefully she will and get meds, she is all bruised on elbows and back from being unable to get up on her own....

    Hi NMB

Yes its been a worry, thinking i was causing worry by asking dad to go with me yesterday but its all worked out really well all round......My sister is hopefully on road to recovery soon but a hell of a ride she has had....
The support on here is great, its like an extra person in the car, watching over you...Really good...The other consultant...I wont say any more about him than im still pursuing my complaint as he wanted to take out my kneecap and make me worse..Who did he think he was ...GOD???
Anyway the thing is now im on track and on the way to a better future, however long it takes me....

Thanks for all your messages and kind words

    Hi I

I just had my tea last night and my fruit and watched some tv then hit the sack about 11 totally whacked, gritty eyes and all but feeling good about the day, unlike last time.....Woke at 0915 this morning and ICAS are calling me soon as they called at 09.45 and I wasnt fully with it.....Youre right i have a way to go but someone has pointed me in the right direction and not round and round the houses instead...
My sister is hopefully going to get the treatment she should have had weeks ago...Trouble is she's having tests for all sorts, ECG, Bowel, white cells. etc and they even thought at one point the infection was coming from her bones but thats ruled out now...
