What is your pet hate

Dont get me wrong I have three kids and I dont have a problem with kids in general, but I do have an issue with kids/teenagers being obnoxious and rude when I go shopping.
If I go out somewhere for a quiet meal or adult time thats what I want and not to have kids running riot. If they arent running riot they are screaming or they have a runny nose which they end up licking off their lips or blowing bubbles.
Why cant parents take the kids out when they are clean and quiet??
My biggest pet hate is the kids in shopping trolleys blowing bubbles with their snotty noses because their parents arent paying them any attention!

Hi Jaki
I agree with you about obnoxious kids, but usually it's the parents at fault. I despair of some parents these days, and I wonder why they had children in the first place. They seem totally unwilling to give their children the right attention, and almost afraid to discipline them in any way. There's a whole generation of kids who don't seem to understand the word No :!:
My pet hate is people who drop litter everywhere. I live opposite to a row of shops, and people have just had time to unwrap their chocolate bars, ice-creams etc. or to drink the contents of their cans as they walk by my house. There's a litter bin very nearby, but they prefer to throw their litter over my fence into the garden instead. They even stick empty cans into the hedge! It makes my blood boil because it's adults as well as kids who do it. I live in a very nice village, so you would think people would know better.

I hate wasps, I also hate chavs and their chavy flippin dogs, why do they always got for fighting dogs twerps!. Also don't like cold calls of any type.0
-
I agree with all the above, especially chavs and people not being able to control their kids. Joan DID live in a very nice village until me and my family visited to lower the tone
My pet hate is meetings:
- which take ALL day long - nobody, and I mean nobody, concentrates for that long
- that have "presentations", basically someone standing at the front reading off a slide or piece of paper - erm, hello, I can read, just give me the piece of paper
- which take hours but don't actually achieve anything
- before which they give you the information beforehand which they're going to discuss. And then spend an hour and a half reading through that same information to make sure everyone's read it. Are we not all adults here? If I haven't read the information prior to the meeting, that's my problem!!!
This is the fire service through and through. I hate meetings. Nobody is doing my work while I'm at the meeting, it's all piling up on my desk!
Nxx
PS - sorry to go on a bit!0 -
Oh my... Where do I start......?
Chavs of course, with their singular look and language, why do they all sound the same no matter what part of the country they are from.. All grunts and groans...
Cyclists...
Littering...
Idiot numpty mothers that push pushchairs into the road first and then see if it's safe to cross...
Idiots who cross the road ten feet away from a safe crossing place (I aim for those ones)
People who swear in public (don't get me wrong, I swear like a truck driver who's just had his pride and joy nicked, just wouldn't do it in public)
People who spit on the floor..
Dog mess
Students
Nissan micras (sorry DD)
People in scum shirts.. (you know who you are.... Usually southerners.. Lol)
Eamon holmes... Detest the man..
Lorraine kelly. As above
Dirty sinks
Cushions the wrong way up
Wonky pictures
Any form of ignorance
Smugness
False tan.. Just annoys the Hell out of me
Nobbie williams.. He's as bad as the two above combined
Political correctness...
Positive discrimination.... I mean, how can discrimination ever be positive
Jackets with elbow patches... Why on Earth would you?
People who walk round with their bluetooth headsets on... Once you leave your car...... TAKE IT OFF!
People who use others... The ones that take take take...
Parent and toddler bays being nearer to the supermarket doors than disabled bays...
Soap operas
There will be more later no doubt......
Well, you did ask...

Lorraine Kelly's a bloke? Blimey, that was a well-kept secret. As for the Micras - is it the car itself, Tony, or the twots that drive them? Actually I thought your list was relatively short. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

hardly a well kept secret DD, his real name is larry kelly.. And he's great smashing lovely... Arrrgggh... Not...
It's the cars, like a plague of locusts on the roads.. I know, in picking on poor Daisy... Lol
The list was only short as I was pressed for time, my internet contract only lasts another year! Haha..
Plus.. I bet the goodie goodie police will be keeping an eye on this one, and my mood at the minute may well get me banned :shock:dreamdaisy wrote:Lorraine Kelly's a bloke? I suspect, rehab, with the state of your nether region now being what it is, even swans' down would feel abrasive.
Tony, I never had you placed as such an intolerant man, you usually appear so easy-going. Mind you, I agree with you on every single one (apart from the obvious, of course). DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
I'm only intolerant with the people who get on my boobies.. Mind you, there is a fair few... Haha
I'm usually better at keeping my intolerance to myself as you know.. Loldreamdaisy wrote:I suspect, rehab, with the state of your nether region now being what it is, even swans' down would feel abrasive.

My Pet hate is people standing in the way having conversations totally oblivious that they are blocking the way past! especially when I am in my wheelchair, I haven't got the loudest of voices, it is hardly a squeak my husband says! So I no longer bother squeaking I just drive into them! And when they look at me in total discust I say 'well you will stand and have conversations in pathetic places! :x0

I am impressed with the list of all the pet hates. I think I agree with most of them.
Sunday drivers - the ones who go for a drive just because they can but travel at 40mph maximum on dual carriage ways, motorways or faster single lane roads. (not always out on sudays either can be any day)
Middle lane hoggers on the motorway.
People parking in disabled bays even though they arent disabled
People standing in the middle of shop isles so you cant get past
Baskets left on the floor so you can trip over them
SNORING - OH and Dog. I cant get to sleep with all their noiseJaki0 -
I used to work for Asda quite a few years ago inbetween being made redundant in the printing trade, stock filling shelves...I worked in the dead of the night though, it's worst job I have ever had, I hated every minute of it...manage to get back in my trade later to my relief.0

sales people who pounce the minute you walk through the shop door.
had this just before xmas when looking for a cooker. called the manager over and told him that within 6 steps into the shop id been set upon by 4 staff trying to sell stuff. if he wants to protect his goods and make sure he dont want to sell anything then keep them doing it if not then call off the band of sales people and tell them to let people in the door,
most people are capable of asking for help if they need it, ps, i was looking for a cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer and smaller electricals to kit out my new kitchen as id just moved, his face lit up at the thought of a big sale so i told him i would go somewhere else where i can at least get to the relevant department to have a LOOK at what they had. and promptly walked back out.
i hate it so bad,0 -
