Ooh Toni totally agree, my little darlings like to put empty cereal boxes back in the cupboard?!! When you ask 'who did it?' the mystical sixth person living in my house called 'not me' always gets the blame!

People or organisations (often who should know better) who seem incapable of flying the Union Flag (Union Jack when at sea) the right side up. :x
In the corner at the top nearest the flag pole the broad portion of the white cross of St.Andrew should be above the red band of St.Patrick (and the thin white portion below).
Flying it wrong side up is a sign of distress (and it distresses as well as bl**dy annoys me).we had this drummed into us when I was in the cubs at 8 years old (how standards have slipped!!!).Even the Government or our local Army Cadet Corps can't always get it right!
God I feel better for that (should have put it on the grumpy forum)''Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy''. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)0 -
Have to agree with everyone on here
first on my list like most people would be kids running riot anywhere and everywhere, im not a snob but surely if you no that your children are not going to behave in a restaurant why take them, we always go to a lovely italian near to where we live and they can never believe how well behaved my son is and he is like this becasue we brought him up this way, to have manners and to be polite and responsible for his actions, i can honestly say ive never had to chase him round a supermarket or anything like that, dont get me wrong he isnt a mammys boy as he being a tinker at the minute (thinking im a millionaire) but i can take him anywhere and no that i have not got to worry about his behaviour.
oooh the next is my better half (not quite my husband yet) thinking he is a perfect driver especially when its me who is doing the driving, ive now banned him from being in the car with me haha

Yep and Miliband spouts on about how he would cut this or that and never once says we mad the mess, honstly I don't trust any of them it's like a game to them.
Now were in another war and having to borrow cash to do it, lets stop trying to police the world for christ sake.
Camerons lot binned our carrier and Harriers and 9 brand new Nimrods then starts another bloody war, why do they always do this.
Thatcher, had the Falklands and allowed the UK to stage US bombing raids on Gadaffi
Major had gulf war one and the Balkans.
Blair had gulf war two and Sierra Leone and Afganistan
Now Cameron has Lybia, what next?, I know lets attack Wales they have Pot Noodle mines so they do!.
It's depressing really though,we just go about kicking **** and upsetting the rest of the world and in doing so are paying hugh sums of money to British Aerospace.0 -
Where do I start.....
Drivers who park their cars over the white line taking up 2 parking bays
Drivers who pull out of junctions and then go slowly making you have to slam on brakes
Drivers who park in disable bay and dont have a blue badge
Drivers who get in the wrong lane, just to try and beat you off the line at the traffic lights
Charity collecters who wave their collection buckets in your face
The government that pledges £10m to comic relief for use in africa when they cannot look after their own needy people
Comic Relief
Go Compare Adverts
Sevices you pay for and dont get
People who dont clean up after their dogs
People who smoke in lifts
Selfish people / Attitudes of people
I would like to also say Im not against giving to charity but i hate it being rubbed in your face, and people expecting you to give money when you cant afford to give money i.e. my wife had to take money to work as everyone was expected to pay something, but I cannot afford to give money away. I would love to give!

Piped music in public places. I sat in the doctor's waiting room today, and was forced to listen to some horrible music for about half an hour because he was running late. If I didn't feel ill when I went in, I did after listening to that :shock:0

Americanisms used by non-Americans eg:
"Can I GET a coffee" (when I worked in a coffee shop I had to work really hard to fight the urge to reply "of course you can get a coffee - there's the machine, help yourself".).
Using "bring" instead of "take" (as in "I am visiting my granny tomorrow, I think I will bring her some flowers).
Answering the question "have you got..." with "no I don't" instead of "no I haven't".
And hundreds more like these, usually spoken by youngsters who have been watching too much trashy American telly.
Grrrrrrr.
Tilly0 -
'How are you?' It's a reasonable and polite question to which the answer is not, and never has been, 'Good.' No, NO, NO! I did not ask about your moral position/view/standpoint, I was enquiring after your health, in which case you reply 'I am fine, thanks.' or 'Not feeling so hot.'
Why is 'regular' a size and not a measure of repetition?
I agree with Tilly on the 'get' and 'bring' thing. Blasted Americanisms, 'step up to the plate' etc - ghastly. Yours pedantically, DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
