    Cocoa..

    So sorry to hear that..
Does it state on your letter why you were refused??
Do you have a health professional who can help you with a supporting letter maybe.. I think you need to put together your appeal based on the reason why you think you can't work and the problems you face on a daily basis..Maybe CAB may be able to help and advise..
Regarding money you can ring and claim for a crisis loan if you have no money coming in, i had to last week as i have put in new claims for everything so have not recieved any payments myself..
It's not a nice situation to be in.. If i can help in anyway just pm me..
    Thinking of you..

Sorry to hear this Coco.. This is about the fourth time I've heard that they've lied over what people have said they are able to do.. It's disgraceful..
I really hope that you're gonna be ok...

Coco what you need to do is appeal, if you appeal they will continue to pay you your £130 a fortnight.

The same thing happened to me, I went for the assessment I was crippled up with pain... and they only gave me 6 points, I have started the appeal prosess, and I requested a copy of the report, which is what you need to do, get the report.

I went through my report with a fine tooth comb, and what was in the report was a pack of lies, and alot of missing evidence that if it had been in the report I would have got the required 15 points.!

You must fight it dont let them do it to you, I have now got my rheummy, GP, local MP and Local MSP (I live in Scotland) involved so you do the same.

    Dont let them win.

If you want to talk you can send me a PM. I know what its like i was really depressed after I got the same news but im now trying to fight

    You can do it

thankyou so much for your messages. i will appeal. and i will ring up for a crisis loan, how long does it take once you call them and do they take it back off you in one go?

they made there desision using my form and the medical, nothing from my gp or the evidence i enclosed. i got 6 points. they dont take into account that your days varry and this medical muppet has totally ignored the fact i have a gp never mind the treatment ive had over the past 18 plus months/

oh well here starts the battle, i shall file my teath and tallons and do battle

    Hi Coco,

If you ring up the crisis loan first thing in the morning you can collect giro from your local job centre on the same day.. You fill out the application over the phone, takes about half hour, they put you on hold for about 5 mins then give you the decision, they take it back from you in instalments without leaving you short..
You def need to appeal, there is someone who has posted a thread on here who appealed, maybe they can help you.. some one posted on it earlier so is showing up in new posts..

As soon as you can let them know that you are appealling. They will then continue to pay you until the appeal and even should you loose the appeal they can't claim the money back.

I failed but, appealled and went from 6 points to over 15! Then contact CAB to get help with the appeal.

I am sorry for you, I know the feeling of being refused and it is frightening and upsetting. ATOS seem to make a lot of 'Mistakes' in their work, so you are not alone. I hope that all goes well for you and the money is sorted out quickly. Take care, & good luck! Love Sue xxxx

    Hi everyone

well its been eventful, rang the crisis loan people who said i couldnt have a loan as it shows on screen they owe me £60 and it should have been paid on monday  , was then told to go down to job centre and see some one there to get it sorted, spent a couple of hours in there trying to get it sorted, ended up with £60 and being told to ring the loan place when it runs out as i wont get anything more untill appeal is loged . so that money has to last me as long as possible, £20 of it will be bus fare for kids to get to school next week, and at least i can have some food if not pay me bills.

what a c**k up, appareantly they had paid me a week short when they started my esa and its just been picked up now they stopped it. very professional.

thankyou all for your help and support i really appreciate it ((((()))))

    Hi Cocoa..

What a balls up they made... shocking..
I am going through the same thing so you not on your own.. i rang up everyone i owed money too and explained the situation so they knew i am not just avoiding them..They can put a note on the system.. at least you been courteous...
When you run out of the 60(keep a log on what you have spent it on) then you can claim the crisis loan..
It's a pain i know luvie.. but like i said i can sympathise with you and if i can help any way i will...
Chin up... You will get there..xx

Thats total pants I mean youre not just a normal jobseeker (if you know what I mean) youre a person with a disability who is having a hard enough time without them treating you as if theyre doing you a favour by giving you a measly £60....You know what gets me about flipping jobcentres too?? they dont have public loos but if you have to sit around for an hour or so then miss your time its a royal pain in the posterior!!!
Are you sure thats right that the money has to run out till you get more? That dont seem right, when you just get oin the blower to lodge appeal thats you on the esa again??

Big hugs to you, what a day huh?

Any jobcentre can hand you a GL24 form to fill in to appeal, no need to wait for post...

They can see you are unwell, they shouldn't be so cruel. But at least you have £60 which is better than nothing cocoa. Here, the children get free bus passes for school journeys which is a big help.
All the best and get that appeal in.What a shame they didn't think to give you the required form.
