Positive thoughts please!!

My Mum who helps me care for my son everyday whilst hubbie is at work got diagnosed with cancer yesterday. Her treatment starts almost straight away. So she needs some mega positive thoughts sent her way.
I've managed to beg the hospital to start my rituximab infusion earlier than planned (there weren't any spaces for a couple of months but I explained the situation and they've managed to pull some strings) so I have that next week. I'm a bit nervous as the last lot of meds closed my throat. But to be honest I don't have time to be ill at the moment as Mum needs my help.
My son is trying to cheer his Grandma up. He turned one last week and has taken to putting his head on the floor, his bum in the air and looking through his legs. Not sure why, but he finds it funny.
Trying to organise some more help for me. Paying someone to do my ironing and hopefully have found someone to do a few hours a day but my Mum always did more hours than she was contracted for so I'm worried that I won't cope. But I suppose we just have to try and see what happens.
So if everyone could attempt to gently cross their fingers and toes and send some positive healing vibes in our direction we will be extremely grateful!

Jen, seeing our parents ill is almost as hard as seeing your child sick. Im sending good vibes to you and your Mum, when my dad was diagnosed with cancer was one of my worst moments ever, but the best medicine was dad spending time with my son, im sure Harry will do just the same for your Mum. My dad is now well and about to be 5 years all clear.
Im waffling now but my point is treatments are improving all the time so don't dispair.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers

jenzie, I can only echo what everyone else has said.
I do hope things go well for your Mum. You don't say what kind of cancer but some are completely curable these days. I know. I had breast cancer about 20 years ago.
Do look after yourself. It'll be hard but you must do it. Besides, your Mum will want that.
Take care. Keep us in the loop.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Jen
Little Harry sounds full of fun, so he will help to keep up your spirits. It hardly seems possible that a year has gone by since he was born. I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum, and I will send lots of positive thoughts to both of you. My best friend was diagnosed with cancer last year, but she has responded really well to the treatment, so I hope that your Mum will do too.
