Thanks for the replies and positive thoughts everyone. I know I can rely on you guys to come through.

Still trying to get our heads round it but got some good news yesterday. We found out that the cancer isn't the rare form we thought it might be.

Still trying to get some help for me and Harry but luckily my sister has come to stay for the week to help out.

Plus I'm getting infused on Friday as I rang and explained the situation at home and the dept managed to squeeze me in. Wish me luck!

Hope you are all keeping well.

I am so sorry to read about your mum. You have the world on your shoulders. Lets hope the infusions will start to help and it was good of the hospital to fit you in, shows they care after all.

    Good luck Jenzie,

    Update:
Mum - in hospital, should start chemo next week but feeling much better with nice hospital drugs. Feeling much more positive.

Me - first Rituximab infusion tomorrow. Bit nervous but looking forward to getting this show on the road. Not looking forward to being apart from Harry who had his MMR jab today, was a brave boy and 2 chocolate buttons work wonders. Pooped, off to bed.

Take care everyone, keep up those positive thoughts! I'll let mum read this thread when she's feeling a bit stronger. It'll really cheer her up.

So pleased your Mum's feeling a bit more comfortable. Please do show her this if she'll be encouraged by it.

Now for your rituximab tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything'll go brilliantly.

Failed with Rituximab. Had only been going for an hour and my throat started to close again. Thankfully the lovely infusion nurses stopped it and although I felt absolutely rubbish for the rest of the day, I feel ok today. On to the next one....hope I don't have to wait too long.

    Mum looking good today.

Take care everyone. Loving the sunshine.

    I guess that's 1/2 good, 1/2 bad then, Jen.

I'm sorry the infusion went badly but pleased they managed to stop it before things got too hairy.

Hang on in there. We're all with you on this.

Mum started chemo today, just the one type rather than both of the chemo drugs they want to give her but she's not well enough yet.
She's got to have a chest drain tomorrow  ouch.
