    Right, so after a quick stop in Istanbul for Peter, we're moving on to Italy. Peter, you don't have to eat pasta or pizza in Italy. There are other things, although I think you are missing out on two of the pleasures of life.

    Next stop is Sorrento, staying at a luxury hotel overlooking the Bay of Naples with Mount Vesuvius in the distance.( one of the most beautiful views in the world )

    Can we do Margate on the way back,I wan't to buy a 'Kiss me Quick' hat.
    I'm a slave to fashion and good taste,hence the string vest and knotted hankie.You northerners are not the only icons of fashion.

    I can understand your confusion. I'm the tour guide and even I'm not quite sure where we are from one minute to the next :lol:

    Anyway, hopefully we'll be in Sorrento tomorrow :grin:

    I would have to disagree, the worlds best Fish & Chip are from the chip van in Tobermory (some of you will know it as Balamory) on the Isle of Mull, Prince Charles diverted his boat to Mull to get fish and chips from the van :)

    They may be the best,but would be cold by the time I got back to Kent.Will stick with the 'Gaslight' chippie in Faversham......... :grin:

    Tell you what, I am not far from Anstruther, we can all go to my house on the way we can stop in Arbroath for smokies, then a slight detour of a few miles to Forfar for bridies, up to Kirriemuir moist ginger bread and then to the Starry Rock shop for hand made sweeties then a bit of site seeing in the hidden glens and then to Brechin and my house and I will put the kettle and we can have a feast :), over night stay and away somewhere else tomorrow :)

    Aberdeen from Anstruther the only thing is the same is that they both start with A, that a massive change, good luck even Brechin on a Saturday is far to busy for me lol, unfortunately I have to go the city of Granite for shopping tomorrow, but just the outskirts Phew :)

    We're in Italy, where the spaghetti trees are in full bloom, so let's enjoy ourselves in the sunshine :grin:

    Just realised we are in Sorrento- where my Dad spent some of his war years.

    My Dad was in Italy during the war too, Elizabeth. He loved the country, and taught himself Italian. I was brought up to love all things Italian, and I still do.

    Italy wonderful - My friend is italian - my neices brother in law lives in Milan with his family and my uncle was killed in the war in Italy
    Think I will enjoy this leg of the tour!

    We're going on a trip to the island of Capri today. Take the chairlift at Anacapri and see the spectacular views from the top of the mountain, or visit the gardens at Villa San Michele, one of the most beautiful gardens in the world.
