Dr Lawrence Buckland hit the nail on the head this morning at the BMA conference this morining and that is successive governments have forced changes on the NHS from the totally wrong angle, his accusation/observasion was this.
The last government and now this always go for advice on what to do to finacially interested private compainies who are more than happy to give them access to their advisors ,these people by nature are privateers who have a vested interest in making a profit out of it first, when in reality they the governments should be going to those on the "coal face” for their views and concerns and work back from there but they never do they just keep applying changes and feeding an enviroment where managers flourish but the nurses cleaners etc just get more and more pointless tasks to do as well as their real jobs.
I worked many years for the civil service and I totally agree that those who really know what is needed get totally ignored and messed about, private companies getting involved will as always end up costing us all more, take a look at the care home group that’s gone down the tubes to see what private “enterprise” gets you ie ripped off while those that cashed in walk away to seek another government sponsered prey.
We have continually gone down this route of divide up into competing sections, those that continue to make a decent return get sold off the others just die off then the whole system becomes unworkable so the state ends up having to take things back under it's ownership and control costing us all much more than if they had stopped messing with it and actually listen to anyone under the level on manager in the first bloody place!.
These people( Politicians )have even less to look after than in the 60’s and 70’s and there’s a lot more of them and yet they only have health the Police, the military and schools to take care of and they can’t even do that what has gone so wrong, now they are telling us due to the care home going tits up "were all just going to have to pay a lot more for our care", no s&*t, maybe if they stopped giving 11 billion away in aid each year we could actually aford it eh?.

Melman, just wanted to say that I am with you 100%. No-one ever considers asking the cleaners, nurses etc,and the management. Which there is far to many of. Think how much money could be saved by cutting down on the adminstration side alone.

It's one reason I left my old job that and the pay, bosses were twats interested in their little kick backs and treated us like crap, we need another world war to sort them out, they wouldn't last five minutes if they had to rely on common sense!.

Had no doubt Tony! right just keep them coming, all voters get a top rate brand knew joint replacement of their choice!, also I'll throw in free meds and a free cuddly rehab toy with griping hands!.
Once were in we will build a big wall around the country with a gun tower every 300 yards to keep all those nasty "jonnie Foreigners" and rabid animals out for good!
All waters will be for OUR use only so all the none English fishing boats who hover up all our fish can't have any of them.
Lastly the country will be called England and not Great Britain which is naff coz were not great at anything other than being in a total bankrupt mess these days.Oh and Wales and Scotland can have independence but they goet nothing from our taxes but we can keep the oil!. We will build a big sound proof wall between us and the taff so we can’t hear them moaning on and on about how crap England is and how were all a bunch of Tommy tankers, that maybe true but at least we don't!?, better not say eh!.
Now the national anthem sounds like a death march with all the enrgy rung out of it so I suggest a new tune, I have e mailed Alice DJ and hope she can come up with something a bit more up beat and “with it”. Maybe something like Jerusalem with a hint of garage or maybe jungle?!
And lastly all MP’s will be clocked in and out of work, and all will wear a lie detector and if they mess up they get 40 thousand volts up there bum that should stop all their shenanigans !. :shock:

I'm just off on a tax payers lunch, erm, I mean, I'm just having my tea and watching my 50" 3D tv I've just been given by an electric company I'll have to mention at least once a month once I'm power

I'm sorry, almost missed this request. Fear not, we will not ignore our voters..
There will be regular cake vouchers, these will be redeemable at Val's cafe. Extra vouchers may be 'earned', one for every illegal immigrant handed over to our new task force..
Illegal immigrants will now be called II's. Each II will be stripped of any illegal earnings and or possessions and those earnings etc will go into a public pot, each voter will receive a unique number when registering with our party and once every three, months the II pot will be raffled off, everything in it will go to the lucky winner.
The unfortunate miscreants once caught will be returned to their country of origin and given a pat on the back, what they won't know is this 'pat' will be placing a micro-chip on them so we can keep track of them the minute they get anywhere near our walls.
