Pain meds and UK legal Cannabis extracts

I tried and tried to get onto a Sativex trial for years. No-go with the GP although in-fact to his credit he re-referred me back to my Rheumy consultant as he thought it seemed like a good idea in principle and definitely thought it might help me at a time when S.W.I.M (Someone Who Isn't Me, of course ) was flaring so bad the 'other' stuff was the only thing that worked for S.W.I.M but during the consultation, only late last year, it was completely dismissed; the consultant simply upped every other toxic component of the already large cocktail of 'legal' (or licensed) meds, much to S.W.I.M's annoyance.
I understood the trial - I researched it enough since about 2005 I guess, waiting for it to make patient trials in the UK, and was happy to sign any disclaimers they wanted. Nada. I'm all for waiting for the relevant bodies to do the trials and pronounce it 'safe' and give it full licence, but honestly - it's been licensed with good effect for years elsewhere, and in purer unlicensed form for thousands of years.
It's daft! S.W.I.M might just rethink his options - passport in hand!No-one was injured in the making of this signature, however, quite a few electrons may have been inconvenienced.0 -
