Before my hospital appointment today, double arthroscopy, lol.

Hope you are up to pocket duties. I'm soooooo tired, hardly slept last night, was in a lot of pain after the weekend...

My appointment is at eleven, surgery is set for the afternoon shift so starve from six this morning. My beautiful & lovely missus is maki ng me a cuppa right now & a bacon sarnie.... She's a good un. My folks have come up from Skeggy for a few days to help out for a bit. I'm staying in tonight. It's normally day surgery but as I'm having both done & I struggle with my hands the surgeon said he'd keep me in.
I've had so many wonderful good luck wishes from wonderful folks... Even got a card in the post from one special pal....


Thank you in advance for the support I've grown used to. You are a great bunch of arthurites...

If I get signal on the ward I may post m if not give me till I get home.....

I was allowed my last drink 2 hours before the procedure...but no food
What was waiting for me afterwards was coffee.....I'm a coffeeholic and toast and honey

The last supper.....Good luck Tony. I hate all that waiting around for the op. It is going without drink that bothers me with my closed, dry throat.The anaethesist gave me a sponge to wet my lips pre-op and boy did I need it but a nice cold drink would have been much better.

Hope all goes smoothly - couple of weeks ago I was in Day Surgery about to be 'taken down' for a wrist arthroscopy when the fire alarm goes off! :shock: Everything put on hold for about 45 mins, but thankfully it was a false alarm and had been triggered off inadvertently.

That first cuppa when you come round tastes like nectar doesn't it? - remember to take biccies for dunking

thanks everyone. Still in. depending on pain levels I should be home this afternoon, having said that I've had to get them to give me some morphine as a top up just now as the knees are throbbing.
