They sent me home with a bottle, can have it three times a day if I need it.. Gone without so far today, don't wanna be taking it if I don't have to. Mind you, I've not been up yet.. Just done some of the exercises, I can feel the pain growing already, lol.. Will just take my normal meds, see if they hold it at bay...
Just had a quick glance down the front page, looks like I've missed many threads.. Hope they all know I offer my support.. :shock:hileena111 wrote:Hi Tony

Hey, Dopey, good to see you home. Take it easy.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Sticky..
Me, dopey, lol...
It is good to be home. And I've not had any morphine to, yet... Haha
Have just been up to the loo, luckily we live in a ground floor place, disabled access etc.. And I was going to do some exercises, but I think I'll have some dinner first, oromorph second, exercises third.. Sounds like a plan to me. I reckon if I get the stuff in my system then I should be able to do the exercises easier..
I'll let you know how I go on.stickywicket wrote:tjt6768 wrote:I'm dopier than normal, lol.

Excellent plan, Tony/Dopey (Dopey Tony? Who said that?). They often tell you, in hospital, to take the painkillers before exercise or X-rays/scans/other froms of unscheduled exercises.
Sounds like you're doing well. Keep it up.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Dopey
Yes as far as I remember it ....take the meds 40mins before the exercises.
Yes it def. sounds likea plan

Managed to do a few exercises thanks to the liquid magic
Lasted all the way until just now before having no choice but to have another 5ml.. I bloody hurt now..
Tell you summat though, on the slow attempt at bending (I'm taking it very gently as they said) I can no longer hear clunking and clicking BUT..... I've got a right weird squelching nose from the right knee   It's ever so strange... It reminded me the kind of noise you get when you get a bit of wind trapped in your throat, it's not quite a burp but a strange gurgle.. Lol
I'm shattered now, gonna try sleep, goodnight one & all... Sleep wellMe-Tony

He doesn't need morphine for 'crazy', Traluvie. That's his natural state.
Go at your own pace, Tony, and use those slaves well while they're at your disposal.
It's probably all the cups of tea that are squelching round in your knees. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
Steven Wright0 -
well I was awake earlier then I just had to go back to sleep, lol..
My other slave, aka, Mum has now emerged from her recharging chamber and has just made me some more tea to squelch around the knees, lol..
Sticky.. You are spot on with my usual state, haha..
cheers mi dear
Thanks Tracey..
Hope that you are both ok...
Had mi name read out on mi favourite radio station this morning before I went back into my mini coma, lol.
My pal Terry was listening & rang me up, made him laugh anyways.. I was taking the mickey out of mi Dad :shock:Me-Tony

Hi Tony
Glad I'm not the only one its affecting I've been on it for a week now and am still very dopey {dopier}
They changed me yesterday from the liquide Oromorph to Slow Release Morphine....dont know if there is any differece....yet!!!!
Love
Hileena0 -
Best of luck on the change over hun... I've been ok on this stuff. Can't stand the mst ones though.. (morphine sulphate tablets) so I'll just be weaning myself off this stuff when the time comes.
Only had one dose today. Really needed it though, plus I knew I was going to get up and attempt showering, lol..
I'm so glad we have a wet room shower.. The dressings are fairly waterproof, but I tried my best not to soak them. I bloody hurt now. Even with all the bars etc to grab I still struggled.. I've hated not showering since monday, strip washes are not the same... I've even got dressed, although I dunno why, could have just put some more fresh pyjamas on.. Not going anywhere.
Resting for a while now, then will do some more exercises.. My right knee had begun farting whenever I move it  :shock:Me-Tony

Hi Tony
I remembering you saying you couldnt get away with the other mst one...hope it doesnt bother me too much....
I remember my THR.....I had a bath and an ordinary shower....no way was I allowed to bath and neither my neighbor or myself like showers and what a job we had...eventually gave in and had a shower......then back to the bath as soon as poss. but i cant have a bath now{fractured pelvis} so got a stool from the OT for the shower but I can hardly move once I'm sitting down in it.
These things are sent to try us
Love

Hi Tony, Sounds like your doing well despite the farty knee
Im sending a good supply of JDs & tea to see you through.
luv debs0 -
Slaves? haha! Hope you don't say that to them. I'm super angelic to everyone who's running around after me, except my sister who askes if I could managed to carry a glass of water into the kitchen. Bear in mind, I'm still very wobbly on crutches. Grrrrrrr!
Farty knee sounds, erm..interesting. Are they painful? Hopefully not with the morphine doing it's thing. I wish they'd given me more than a couple of doses of morphine in hosp. I'm stuck with tramadol which makes my eyes fuzzy.
Showers after a few days of not having one are amaaaazing. Even if you miss a shower or two, it feels like a lifetime. Glad you managed it.
Take care xx0 -
so glad you not sat in your pjs talking to us what would the mods say tut tut glad u mannaged a shower rest up palval0
-
Thanks everyone. Bit tired now so logging off in a mo..
Starburst... They're still quite painful n swollen. If I rest them they do settle down a bit, but every now n then they just decide to start throbbing again. The oromorph has been helping but I don't want to take too much. They gave me a full bottle and told me my gp could prescribe more if I need it... They must be expecting it to hurt for a while, lol.. It's silly how painful it is... I think the fact that they fill them with fluid so they can have more interior space doesn't help, lol..
Must sleep, catch you tomorrow.. Sleep well everyone.
