Hi all,
As most of us know if we have this god damn awful disease its always a great idea to write your symptoms down in a pain diary or even do a body pain map. I devised a body pain map (I teach ICT so not trying to show off, he he) and I take it with me to the consultants each time I go, it helped in the beginning to get a diagnosis but I still use it everytime I go now so the consultant can see if there is any improvement or where the pain has changed to. It is very visual it has a front and back view and three sections for the pain which are colour coded everyday, most days and sometimes and you then indicate on the outline of the body in the relevant colour. I then leave the copy of it at the hospital and they put it in my file. If anyone would like a copy of it (have already sent it to some on here) I am happy to share it, I will send an example of one completed and a blank one in both Word format so you can change on computer and a PDF so you can just print off and do it manually.
The only thing is that you need to send me an email address that can accept attachments as the forum one doesn't , if you email me your address to my forum address I will forward it from an email account I have (it would stay confidential and would delete after using it)
Another thing while on the topic of email is that it is a great idea to create an email account (free one like Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo) which you use just to shop, play games, money off vouchers, pay bills etc so you don't get loads of spam and rubbish emails to your personal account and it then keeps your identity and privacy secret. I am sorry cos I am now in teacher mode and I hope this bit doesn't offend anyone or you think I being rude but just a thouhgt (I sometimes have good one sometimes have bad ones) !!!!
Anyway if anyone wants the pain map let me know, hope your all having a good day, love and hugs. xxx

this prob a stuip question but how do you do the coloured dots on it ???? saved it under wordval0
-
Not a stupid question at all!
If you have the blank one in word you can use the circle in the drawing toolbar to draw them and change the colour. Go to view, toolbars, put a tick next to drawing. You will see a toolbar come up with shapes on it choose the circle and draw it where you want, then use the paint bucket to change the colour. You may have to click on the image of the body right click and choose order, then choose send behind text.
Hope you can follow this let me if not will send you some instructions as an image no problem. XxAS Sufferer

Hi all,
To go along with the pain map I have created some instructions for how to draw the small dots on the pain map on a computer in Word, I hope they are easy to follow.
I have sent them to all who I have already sent the pain map too, if I have forgot anyone give me a nudge. If I send it to anyone new will send them the instructions with them. xxxAS Sufferer

I had a consultant appointment Monday and he was very impressed with the body map Anky sent me. It saved me going through each ache and pain and feeling like a hypo! Not being very IT minded, I used three different coloured high lighters - it was very theraputic colouring in my aches and pains. Thank you again Anky.
