:lol: Hi All you lovely people,
I seem to do nothing else but ask for pocket duty these days
Bless you for starting this thread Toni.

DD.....At least there will be more left for others with you and this dodding siet  Thanks for the company.

Sue......I think the only thing with this one is the long time its going to take.....its going to be a nuisance.....Appt at 11.20.....then the injecction {sometime} then go away for 3 hours and come back for whatever.....which will take another 30 mins according to the letter....tea time before I get home probably

Delboy.......dont mind your garlic soup but blue cheese ugghhhhh!!!!!

Janie .....I would think there will be plenty left among all the crumbs  expecially if DD is on a diet

I will be thinking of you.....I was wondering this morning about you so good luck today.

    Jean......Plenty of room......pockets are big.

    Barbara....No I dont think you'll need your torch :lol::lol:

Will get in touch with you all when I can.

    Love

No need to get in touch, Hileena. We'll all be able to see the glow in the sky coming from the North East.

Hope it all goes well and not too tiring.

    H Hileena,

Jumping in the pocket late here I am afraid.

hope you find it as fascinating as I did mine? Mine flocked to the spine and neck and then he tried the wrists and they were flocking there as well. Helped get the diagnosis for the pa in the end, well its was classic anyway but it gave a pointer they should look at them

Hope its not too boring a day and you get a chance to either get home in between or go somewhere decent if home is too far.

Hope it all goes well and actually helps get some kind of diagnosis on you. (((( ()))) Cris xx

    Hileena,

    Thinking of you!

I've had a scan like that. I had to use a special toilet because my wee was apparently radioactive. I was most upset that it wasn't luminous green wee.

    Hi,
    Well
All over and done with now. It was a bit of a "faff" and waste of time but apart from that and an Orange message coming up on the camera above my head...one of them saying error and then a few seconds later another one saying FAULT.....I thought What fault have they found :lol::lol: it was OK.
So I ended up doing the last bit of it standing up.....took 40 mins {the second bit} all together.....so all I have to do now is wait a fortnight when I have an appointment with the Consultant and hope he has the results of all 3 scans and has workied something out.
This was a different hospital and one of the ones in Newcastle has been closed down and amalgamated with this one and it is enormous now.....its like a rabbit warren. It was far enough from the car park to that dept {that no one knew where it was} but when we lost ourselves listening to people we must have done about 3 times the distance. So when I went back for the scan we got the scooter out of the car and I used that.....Good job I did.....it was quite a distance and my mobility isnt very good at the minute.
When we got home Peter went to the shed and i wondered what he was doing and he came back with his geiger counter.....it went absolutely mad when he came near me with it :lol::lol:

Typical male behaviour, Hileena. A woman would go straight into the kitchen and make you a cuppa. A man goes straight to the geiger counter to check your radioactivity levels. Doncha just love 'em?

I'll be on the watch for new comets tonight.

Glad it's all done & dusted now.

I had radioactive stuff injected into my left knee on two ocasions and after I had to stay in 'solitary' for 24 hours then avoid children for six weeks (due to my increased radio-active levels). On reflection, they were two very costly (in terms of income) and lonely (in terms of company) experiments to deal with the inflammation (oh, so I don't appear to be too negative I should of course state they worked wonders for me.)

I can understand why Mr H did as he did - I am more curious as to WHY he has a Geiger counter in the shed, surely that is not a usual peice of kit? As for the results etc, let's hope to whoever that things can be decided once and for all and treatment begun, yes? DD

    Hi,
Forgot to mention to add to any stress yesterday alarms were going off right left and center when we got into the hospital.....Staff said its OK.....but lifts had been switched off so they cant have been that sure
Thats another reason it took us so long to eventually get to the dept.
That is typical male behaviour Sticky  Any comets last night????:lol:
Oh yes I got a cuppa as soon as I came in
Thanks for the cuppa this morning Julie...I've just spent an hour and a half clearing out a room and am ready for it
DD......That would be costly for you work wise.
Other people have said things like that but nothing was said to me  No Its not a usual piece of kit but he's not a usual husband where things like that are concerned.
I'm on my own at the moment....he has gone cycling and is going to end up at a car boot sale so heavens knows what he'll come home with this time  As long as it stays in his shed thats OK by me
until he makes something with some of the stuff LOL like the things for the side of my scooter to hold my crutches temporarily or the ramp for the front door step a few years ago when I smashed my ankle and was in a wheelchair  His rubbish does come in handy!!!!!
I was just saying to Toni I thought that was it after seeing Mr Generalist again on the 13th of Sept........Looked at my diary and discovered I have an appointment 6 days later with Mr Back Specialist
I am drinking loads and its a good excuse to drink loads of coffee or tea.
    Love
    Hileena
