The worst thing New Labour did was give this lot the protection of a minority, total hog wash, anyone who lives in the country side of Oxfordshire will know all to well what they are like.
I don't normally read the Daily Mail but looking at todays on line there was an article about this lot and they say a few on this site who are multi millionaires hardly suprising seeming they pay no tax don't tax their cars pay no rates and run their vans on farm derv, and we've seen the slavery this week on another site if this is shocking to some to others it's not a suprise at all including me.
Don't get me wrong I like real nomadic travellers such as the new ager's and the bunch of real ones we get round here in the summer these people are really interesting and I have no objection to them camping up near my home good on them they do no harm, they leave no mess and sell things they make out of wood but not these people, I've seen and had to many bad dealings with them, they are violent and should be avoided.

Well you would have thought so, I was talking to a mate at work who's a southern Iris and he says there they don't tolerate them nor do the police that's why so many are here now, were a very soft touch.
Thing is people who support them come from towns so never cross their paths, we have had a few big illeagal camp set up here before and the Hadden hill camp near Didcot was awful they also did a lot of crime, they car jacked a woman in a 4x4 and 30 of them went into Didcot Tesco's filled up their trollies and just walked out, the security guard got duffed up, Tesoc's changed the whole shop front to stop it happening again.
When the were finally served a notice to quit then then spent the last few weeks fly tipping the field, it cost the council over £40k to clear up, they also dumped toxic waste liquid there it started getting into the ground water, I know this is true as I talked to the chemist who delt with it he had to go up there and said it wasn't nice the Police had to escort him.

I genuinely feel for the true and honest folks who get tarred with the same brush but the law breaking, thieves and scallywags should just get justice..
I think I hate the idiots that promote them just as much.... I think that all these middle class do gooders that cry at the so called injustice and unfair treatment these 'poor' people are subjected to should actually be made to live in the neighbourhoods that they destroy... They are not 'true' gypsies. Simples. Their vans are fixed. The difference between their housing and mine is bricks - oh and the fact that we pay copuncil tax, water rates, leccy bills etc. They are sly, wily, devious and but not without intelligence, some are very articulate and good at fooling the do-gooders into taking their side. They have made life hell (and will continue to do so) for the more traditional residents of that area but as the do-gooders don't live there they care not. DD

There's a very desirable plot of land right next to my doctor's surgery. It was bought by Aldi ages ago to build a shop, but they haven't got on with it so I think I'll build a nice bungalow there for myself instead. It will be very handy for visiting the doctor; it's on the flat so no worries about my knees, and it's in a leafy suburb so very pleasant. I've got a Blue badge, so I reckon that my need is greater than Aldi's. No worries about planning permission because if there's any problems, I'll just get Vanessa Redgrave and a few of her cronies to come and sort it out for me.

After all, my human rights are far more important that any mere planning regulations. :roll:

We had some gypsies move onto the green round the corner from us... they stayed a whole day until a gang of blokes from the nearby estate went round and beat them up. The police had to get involved and they moved on.

Funnily enough, no one really sympathised with them!

PS - I'm all FOR people living their lives as the want to but I resent the way some of these travellers don't pay out for anything, but expect free schooling and health care. You can't have it both ways

They always use the same thing to get their way,kids and the old and sick,not a male amongst them, they did exactly the same in Didcot when the council wanted to throw the thieving sods off an illegal plot on Haden hill, once they did get them off they fly tipped the whole site and also dumped chemicals that got into the ground water, cost the local council over £100k to clean it up.
Also who are these people who support this lot anyway?, they obviously haven't had the pleasure of a caravan born infestation turing up near them.

They have won a High Court Injunction to delay the site clearance, possibly until sometime in November. So, they can afford to pay a fancy-pants lawyer and shame on the High Court for being so feeble. Ye gods. Why do the rest of us bother being law-abiding citizens? DD

God knows DD,why do some people think it's fine for this lot to take the pi** as they do, they arn't really travellers anyway their Irish tinkers.
I've had direct dealings with these people and it wasn't nice, they camped up in Woodcote woods, at night they chased deer acorss the main road that cuts throught the wood,I was one of those who got done,I hit 2 deer and wrote my car off, I got a lift home came back 20 minutes later the dead deer were gone and there was a man trying to break into my car!,the police siad there had been 9 accidents like mine in the last 2 weeks way higher than normal, but no one could do F all, I have been out ratting at night on the farm and they've turned up and tried to frighten us off, I'm sure they were after the pink Diesel the farmer had there.
I know what I'd do with them but I can't say as I'd get reported and banned from here!.

Your not going to believe this(or maybe you are as this is the kind of reverse logic that rules here these days). Dale farm squatters are now applying to English heritage so the scaffolding that’s on the entrance can be listed as a monument to the oppression of travellers in England. And also they are using national lottery cash to pay for the aplication!. :evil
