I have several, and if i had my time agan i wouldve still had but gone into them more then i did...
i had a cross on my left wrist that i did with needle and ink at school and always wanted to get something done over it it was embarressing, so i have a sunflower on it now, i have a rose top right arm with hubby Steves name, had his name done after about 16 years of marriage incase i forgot his name when im older... on my right forearm i have 2 elephant faces with small love hearts theyre trunks are entwined...
on my left inside forearm i had a cervical cancer ribbon done in memory of Jade Goody i was a massive fan of hers and i made my mind up this is what i was having done.... however big big mistake, the guy i got to do it has been a well know and respected tatooist in my town for over 25 years, he made a right mess of it, her name was in it but u can only make out a small part im so disappointed with it very emarressed, have asked another tattooist if i can get it sorted and they said it will be hard as its badly scarred...
i had one done same man, but before the last, and it was one i found and he changed a few bits making it unique, of a flower
i have another silly thing i did when i was 15, a 'T' on my leg after a lad i had been crazy over for donkeys years... embarressing as my husband knows him...lol so when he sees it he knows who it was lol....

    i love tattooos!!
    love and hugs

Just spent 20 mins and loved reading this thread !!!!

Tattoos - love them - but only had my first done when I was 37 and I swore it was going to be my only one - yeah right ! Like lots of you said, mine have all been designed byme with the tat artist and are all original and all have real emotional meaning for me and represent something or someone in my life.

If I had known I was going to become an addict I would have thought about a theme more I think. As it is, i have quite a few small ones in ramdon places ( I used to think of places to to put them where the skin would not be droopy as I got older !!!) I have a lovely butterly on a string of leaves that goes across the top of my foot ( to take away from the scar from the tendon transfer!) and a large celtic piece across my lower back with bits representing my kids - tramp stamp they call it now I believe!!!
I had my most "out there" tatto done last year after a particularly bad time in my family ( now age 53). Its on the top of my arm and its two retro Vince Ray swallows holding a tiny heart between them and underneath I have the following script,(which I expect some of you may have heard of ) and is a bit of a personal mantra

    Its an Einstein quote:

    Learn from yesterday
    Live for today
    Hope for Tomorrow

By the way - I LOVE MARMITE & TATTOS AND SO DOES OTHER HALF !!!!

How about back of the neck like the loveley "Mrs C" cheryl cole tattoo!

Or how about the outline of the shape of the jar around your belly button ????

jar on bellybutton, excellent site...for tums with holes could incorporate an open jar and for belly buttons that stick out could be a big blob of marmite.....think that would be the best tattoo ever!

Nice sleeves Stu. What's with the Jagger impression  :lol:

PS.. Marmite is Satan's earwax. yuck

Cheers mate! Pics are way too small on here to see them, although I understand why. They're both old style Japanese in theme. Some 5 cover-ups under them too. Left full sleeve is done, right is 80% done.

Jagger??? Yeah, see yer point actually. It's my FB photo, but might change it now!!

Have some random tats elsewhere, like back and calves too. I will start on my legs next, so will prolly go sleeves to legs, but over 10 - 15 years. Too blooming expensive to do more than a couple of times a year!

Anyhooooooooo - Marmite is freakin lovely, I'll have you know! Tea, toast with proper butter and Marmite. Perfect dunked too!
No-one was injured in the making of this signature, however, quite a few electrons may have been inconvenienced.

my Daughter had just started another on her chap. She's not qualified or owt but had been practicing on herself a while, now him.. Lol
    She's got the talent..
It's what she wanted to do but too expensive aty the minute.. I'm sure she will fall into bring a tattooist at some stage though..
This is one of her latest weird designs.. I like it though..
