I miss boxing training too! I was quite rubbish at it but for the short time I did it I found it very exhilarating. Running too.
I can swim though and I love the sense of freedom that gives to my cranky sore joints. Sometimes you have to work with the change and find something new. Probably not what you wanted to hear but rather than getting frustrated at what you can't do, maybe try to embrace the liberation of finding something new to do that you can get a new interest from and maybe meet new people or see if you have a secret and until now hidden skill at!Hey little fighter, things will get brighter0 -
I boxed for 14 years I think it's the only thing that I was any good at. No running, no skipping and no punching. It's gonna be difficult to find something else I love doing. I wonder if Aikido would be ok?0

Any activity which places extra or undue stress on the joints will contribute to their more rapid deterioration. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I was very active before I acquired PsA and it has been very rough realising I can't do the things I loved and was good at (horse sports and a serious hiker and gardener). While I could, I was into Tai Chi and absolutely loved it. Wished I had found it 20 years ago. It helped because it's low impact and helps with stress, etc. It might help you ?0

I think we all miss the things we can no longer do. I was an avid rock climber and ice climber for a long time and I tried very hard to keep rock climbing even if it was just ten minutes or half a route here and there until a few years back when I had to accept it was all over. I still have all my kit taking up space and gathering dust. I like to own it still as a reminder of what I did achieve rather than what I can no longer do. I now have a go at all sorts of bits and bobs. I am an occasional sort of surfer. I always enjoy a good swim, especially if it is in a natural setting rather than a pool and I walk. When things are good I find the steepest hill possible and race myself to the top. My dream, which I visualise regularly to keep me from going mad, is that if my anti-tnfs ever arrive, I will be able to run again. I don't aim for marathons, I'll settle with 100 yards right now but I'm keeping my eye on that prize. I know it hurts to lose a thing you love, grieve it and then, once you have accepted it really do try to see the opportunity of finding new things. Everybody's life is changeable regardless of arthritis or not, the trick to enjoying it is running with those changes and not butting against them. I too tried tai chi and it was fun until my tai chi teacher had a melt down and shouted at us. I decided if he couldn't be zen calm then maybe it didn't work - it was an experience though. Have a go at everything, the worst that will happen is either you will be rubbish at something (like me and surfing) but enjoy it enough not to care or it will hurt and you won't do it again. You know what causes you problems and the higher the impact of the sport the more likely it will do, so work with that and have a play.Hey little fighter, things will get brighter0

Have thought about tai chi, but I find Aikido more interesting, but not sure if the wrist locks would cause more problems or not.0

If in doubt why not ask your GP or a physio? Or join a class but first explain to the tutor what your difficulties are? Sometimes we just have to suck it and see.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I don't think any of us are qualified to read scans but I hope you get the result you want. Please let us know what is said.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
