I've been off here for a while. I come back and what is
happening.
A large percentage of the posts are rehab 44 flirting with
and winding up the ladies.
Anybody on here support Preston North End? Or drink and
enjoy Jennings bitter or Thwaites Bomber?
I'm away now to watch Spurs and Aston Vanilla.

Hi Ichabod
Lovely to see you :!: I hope that you are well. You have been missed on here, so I hope that you will post again.
We need you to keep rehab44 in order :!:
(some hope!)

Hi ichabod, it's lovely to see your name again. Of course nothing changes, life doesn't. We all plod on in our various ways and the forum plods on accordingly. I had a wonderful week-end sheltered from the unseasonal sun in the bar of the Lord Nelson in Southwold. See? Life doesn't change, just the location of the pub! DDHave you got the despatches? Thanks good folks for your replies. Other than you three does
any one else write interesting posts on here, and/or support
PNE and drink good bitter beer and/or Bladnoch single malt?
Still making and eating pies, savoury and sweet and currently
favour chunky vegetable soup with large fluffy dumplings. Think
I.ll bugger off and make some.0 -
No every body else apart from those 3 write really boring posts so we might as well all b***ar off and not bother I suppose.

not me they much better at this posting lark than i am but do my best to keep rehab on his toes valval0 -
I just hate it when posters say its boring/uninteresting on AC and I find it demeaning to those who just want to post their day/news which may be interesting to them. Every poster is important and interesting in my book.

not really. I'm having a great day. But Ichabod said other than you 3 does anyone else write interesting posts on here. Seems black and white to me. Another question requiring an answer methinks  to which I obliged. Its only that bit I disagree with.

Bitters ooooh love bitters we have some great brews around here, spent many a good night tucked in a snug at the Black Horse up in Ipsden heath total bliss!.
Oh and don't worry about Len dementia will have to double dose him with bromide.0 -
Bladnoch. Oh ichabod, you are a man of taste. I went to the distillery there, many moons ago, and had my first ever sip or four of a single malt. I've lost my taste for such fluid over the years and am now content with beer and white wine but I remember that well.
tkachev is right, people post what is of relevance or interest to them and if they pique our interest too all well and good - if they don't, no matter, there is no need to reply. You can't please all of the people all of the time - in fact I do wonder if there are some who are never pleased at any time! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Once you've had a good single malt (my favourite is Lagavulin) a blend is a very poor substitute (about as different as a good real ale is from Fosters)!!''Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy''. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)0

oh dear. We are all entitled to an opinion ....me too.
I personally hate it when I see posters saying it is boring on here when some have opened up their heart and soul or have posted a problem. It is just my bugbear.
But I hate gloaters the most.........

The grump thread is like everything else on here, rehab, there's an ebb and flow - 'tis the way of the world. If it's needed by someone they'll find it. On the other hand perhaps no-one has anything to moan about at the moment: now there's a thought. :shock:Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Yep, someone will find the grump thread if they wish, I go looking for the happy thread every now and again

Don't think so, Val, it is still there along with the Autumn Grump thread too.

I've had my fluffy dumplings and am now necking 500mls
of Jennings best bitter and what do I see? Some replies.
But nobody writs of PNE unless the last (coded) post does.
ps I've looked at my second post and the words boring and
uninteresting are not there.0 -
ah
but it is often the things that are not said, not seen and not heard but subtly suggested that create the best discussions.0 -
I said when posters say it is boring Not when Ichabod says it is boring. It was aimed at those who do say 'it is boring on here' etc.

No he won't be burnt at he stake it is just that AC forum should be free from this constant mocking and ridicule. I would suggest this is the reason so few people hang around ChitChat for long and not the opposing viewpoints.
I have had friends banned from AC for much less than this.
The wishy washy rules don't help.

Did you know it costs Apple about £130 to make the new iPhone which they sell for £499?
People can challenge a point, surely, and tkachev has done so - why the assumption a bad day is being had? I didn't take much notice of ichabod's post as - delightful though he is when he does post - he's not on here that often (compared to some  ) hence the appearance that not a lot has changed on CC. That is because it doesn't and it doesn't change that much on the other forums either. Week-ends are often quieter anyway due to family commitments, shopping or - in my case - being in a pub for much of it. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
