Yep DD we get her locked in sounds like a plan, and if she has any visitors she has to be in a micheal jackson bubble and we wear protective suits and masks.
You gonna tell her or should I.Clare xx0 -

May I apply for the position of head gaoler? I can be extremely fierce when necessary (Just ask Mr SW) and I have an impressive-looking big key. (OK so it's my RADAR key, just don't tell Poppy that.)
Poppy, you'd best stay in bed and get better. It'll be easier in the long run.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I too have a similar key and I am not afraid to use my considerable body weight to sit on her so as to hold her in one place! Sticky is right, poppy, please take the time to heal properly instead of resuming life at your usual pace as soon as find yourself feeling a teensy bit better and so opening yourself up to infection after re-infection after re-infection. This just won't do, hon, it's not helping you in any way shape or form. If you don't want me sitting on you then stay in bed! ((())) DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Huge big hugs to all of you lovely people, I'm staggered at the amount of love and support I've received from you all.
I've been a good girl and stayed in bed today, im realising (slowly) that this might be a bit too much for me to handle in my usual way (sticking my fingers in my ears and singing la la im not listening ) I only got up because I had a visit from a friend with her 2 little girls that I used to Childmind, I've had a lovely cuddle and homemade Get Well card from Elspeth and a big sticky (she was eating a rusk) armed hug and kiss from 1yr old Florence. I'm feeling a little bit stronger, face is still red but not so raised, and the 40mg steroids are having a good effect on my poor ankle.
The things that have helped me through this apart from my family&friends is the love and support I've received here, I can't put into words how grateful I am Thankyou all of you.'grá agus solas'

Take care and i hope things keep improving..xxxxTracyxx0 -
Hi Poppy, nice to hear from u, just dont overdo it please.
xxClare xx0 -
It is lovely to hear from you. Now, please get back to bed this minute. I have my key in my hand and I can hear DD approaching. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Just stopping by to say hello. Poppy. I hope things are a little easier but please don't come back to us until you are much, much better. You can have a few of these to keep you going. (((( ))))If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks everyone, I am really grateful for your support.
Bit low and weepy tonight, I feel absolutely shattered, so tired and everything is getting on top of me.
I couldn't go to my son's play at school this evening, I couldn't sit for that length of time, felt like such a bad mother, like id really let him down. Hubby and my other 2 lads went to see him so atleast he had that. I had a lovely email conversation with Clare earlier, and she reassured me so much, if you're reading this Clare, huge hugs and thanks as always for your support.
I guess I'm just so tired, tired of fighting agressive PA, tired of constantly flaring, and tired of my life being put through the wringer.
Good gracious what a whinge! Sorry everyone, I'll be ok and after a good nights sleep I'll be back to my normal happy self.
Apologies for moaning.
Love and hugs to all X'grá agus solas'

one of the hardest things is learning not to feel guilty when you can not do things for the youngsters but you know it would be worse if you had to leave because of being ill so well done on staying home i am sure there will a vidio that you can see and the young man in question will love explaining it all to you sleep well
just to brighten your day ((())) valval0 -
Poppy, i meant every word i said to u earlier and will say them again as they were all true.
Stop being so hard onyourself, take time to recover, its been a biggy this time and your body needs time.
Sleep well dear lady. ((((x))))Clare xx0 -
(((Poppy))) just the fact you wanted to be there and feel guilty despite other family members being at the play speaks volumes about the kind of mother you are. I am sure your son understands and he had support.
You are doing so well and have had such a bad run, pollyanna herself would be down. Hang in there, next year is your year!!!0 -
Hi Poppy,
I am sorry that you could not go to your sons play but he would have been made up that his dad and brothers were there to see him.
These things happen so don’t beat yourself up, he will be able to relive his triumph all over again when he got home so he will be well pleased with that. x8-)
Loads of hugs,
Lv, I x0 -
Stop fighting the PA and the rest, go with its flow and you may be surprised at the outcome. You can still do what you have done before but you must do so in shorter and smaller bursts, resting in between each burst to give your body time to recover. The recovery time is more imnportant than the activity time, that is how the balance of power within us changes once arthritis hits - it's not easy to accept or achieve, I realise that, but keep practising and I am sure it will become easier. poppy I am sorry that you couldn't go see your sons play
I know how you must have felt, I was once in hosp when lisa performed with her keyboard in school age 8.
Maybe the school did a video that you could buy???
Sending you more hugs ((((((((((()))))))) and asking you to rest. (I know it is hard )
Take care lovely, and get well soon

Thank you all for your kindness and good advice, I am feeling a little better this morning, although not the best start to the day I'm afraid :???: our cat Sparkle destroyed the boys chocolate advent calendars during the night! scoffing the lot of chocolate and throwing up all over the floor x:roll: all cleaned up now, and hubby will replace them later on.
We'll keep calendars in the fridge from now on x X'grá agus solas'

Take care my dear, and no overdoing it..xxxxTracyxx0 -
Oh Poppy, that did make me chuckle!!!!! Sorry  You will have to get Sparkle her own advent calender!!
Rest up and take DD's advise. It is how I do things now, and find it works. Although it is so easy to overdo it, and resting can be very boring. Although it helps.
Take care0 -
