According to research conducted by Nivea, the average Brit enjoys 13 hugs every day, with 9.5 seconds devoted to each embrace.
That means that over a month we spend more than an hour hugging.
If given the chance to hug anyone, apart from family, these were the most popular people chosen in the survey:
Most huggable male celebs
David Beckham
George Clooney
Dermot O'Leary
Gary Barlow
Robbie Williams
Most huggable female celebs
Holly Willoughby
Cheryl Cole
Lorraine Kelly
Kate Middleton
Nigella Lawson
To me, you can never have too many hugs in your life.
Who would you like to hug ( apart from family ) if you got the chance :?:
Joan

Sir David Attenburgh for giving us all so much pleasure with his fasinating nature series and his sheer delight in everything he sees.0

Forget the celebs for me. Best hugger I know is my old mate, Colin. He hugs like he means it. I dislike airy fairy hugs.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Cris
Nelson Mandela is a good choice. He went for 27 years in prison without a single hug from anyone. Can you imagine how he kept sane in all that time without human affection :?:
Tommy is going to the vet tomorrow to have his teeth cleaned, and possibly some extractions, so he will need lots of hugs after that!
A big hug to you, Cris (((((( )))))))0 -

That's very sad for you, Tone. I hope that you will get the chance to give him a hug at some time soon.
In the meantime, here's a big hug from me ((((((( ))))))))0 -

Val, I would love to give both you and Trisher a big hug. You are both lovely people who I'm so pleased to have met on here. ((((((( )))))))
Daylily, I totally agree about David Attenborough. He really does deserve a big hug. He's opened our eyes to the wonders of nature so brilliantly.
Here's a hug from me to you ((((((( ))))))))
Sticky, I'm with you on disliking fairy hugs. You have to hug as though you mean it, or else you might as well not bother.
Here's a big bear hug for you (((((( )))))))
Mell, Kylie in your dreams Here's one from me to you ((((((( ))))))))
Del, ditto Cameron Diaz A hug from me to you (((((((( ))))))))
I would like to hug David Hockney, the artist. I've always admired his work, and he is a fascinating person.
It's my birthday today, so I'm in a huggy mood
Here's a special birthday hug for all my friends on here. I love you all

Hello Joan,
In no particular order
You, Lindalegs and Dream Daisy.
I'd also shake hands with rehab44.0 -
It's not a celebrity. It's a chap from San Francisco who I met on the Adults/teens with clubfoot page on facebook. He has the same disability as me and I have struck up a friendship with him. I've been having some pretty low, difficult times lately and he's always there, night or day to listen. I adore him and wish I could have a real hug rather than the cyber hugs we've got used to. He's married, as am I and it's just a genuine and lovely friendship! His name there is Willy Kiyotte but his fantastic real name is Notumbus Bumbus!!!! He looks just like Father Christmas!Sue (Cloud9)0
