    Hi Clare,
How are your knees today? I hope they are not too bad at the mo . My Gyne cyst scan was good, no change.
    Love Sue

    Hi,
I had a partial knee replacement May 2009 and still have problems due to the side of the knee that's natural bone. This is bone on bone and bl**dy hurts. My knee still swells from the replacement surgery and I've been told it probably always will - lovely!
I'm on tramadol and paracetamol. I also use hot and cold and when I can feel the knee is getting stiff sit on the floor and pull that heel towards my bum to really stretch the knee muscles. It's not nice mind you feeling all the scar tissue ripping inside but it does loosen things up.
Re the knee supports I was told not to use them as it makes your muscles weak but I'm wearing one constantly on my left ankle as that's b*ggered due to the OA also.
Try and pace yourself; focus on what you can do and forget about what you can't.
If all else fails here's my prescription: take one large (huge) chocolate bar and consume on a daily basis. Warning - this is not suitable for children, oh's or friends/rellies. Should be washed down with either a glass of wine or a cuppa; depending on your likes. When chocolate is consumed for medical reasons it's calorie, sugar and fat free. (Bet you didn't know that did you?).
Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.
    Take care,
    Grace.
