Clare has emailed me this morning after seeing her GP.
As most know she has been having trouble with her knee and it is just not letting up at all so she managed to get into docs this morning to get it seen.
Gp has said she may have Bakers cyst back of knee, and its either torn cartlidge, chipped summat , doesnt think its the OA ,but cant rule it out. Making referal to orthopedics for urgent app.
To take max dose of meds and rest!!

Here that folks REST lol, i have told her to do as she is told and stay put.

Am not too great myself but will write back later when i have spoken to Clare to let you know how she is..

Clare you poor love, that does sound so very painful , can't give you much advice only to rest it when you can.

I hope the orthopedic app comes through quickly

Oh no! I've heard of those from reading on here, how miserable but at least you now know what it is and that it can be sorted - well, it will be if you do as you are told, OK? Try to do as the doctor says, at least it's the week-end and much lounging around is permissable! Take care. DD

Oh, NO, Clare! You have just got the job  and now this. I do hope things ease with rest, if that is possible, as I am meant to be doing that too, but no chance.  I do hope your gp can push for this urgent appointment for you.

    Look after yourself,

    Elna x

My poor Clare, I'm so sorry to hear that the problem has got worse, and talk about bad timing when you had had the job interview. I hope you are fast tracked by the hospital for an appointment to see one. And until then you must rest, rest, rest!! And behave yourself by staying put! Hope you get sorted soon, and I send you a big (((HUG)).

Thanks Tracey by keeping everyone informed of what had happened to Clare, especially when you yourself are suffering from a flare up and are very poorly. big (((HUGS))) and hope you have a good sleep and feel better soon.

    Clare,

My 87 yr-old Father has a bakers cyst behind his right knee and he's been in agony with this so you have all my sympathies. He's waiting for an urgent steroid injection into the knee and then for the cyst to be drained.

Hope you feel better soon. Try and get that rest.

    Take care,
    Grace

    Hi Clare,
You're so brave and kind my friend, I know the pain that youre in, and yet you still try to help others (mostly me by email!) at the same time.
Try to rest the knees, and take whatever painkillers work for you. Very glad you are seeing the specialist at Guys, that's great news Clare x:-D
We are all here for you, lots of love and gentle hugs. (((()))) Xxx

Hi all, Thanks again for your kind words of support.

To e honest I am in soooo much pain i feel sick and keep crying. nothing seems to be budging it except the odd medicinal glass or two.

I am keeping focussed and if no better monday i will be back to see doc.

Poppy i keep focussed by supporting others like You and Traluvie ( she is so not good at mo) and you as well as others have been rocks to me so dont you go worrying bout that.

Traluvie, I know you will prob read this so here is a little note just to say thanks for keeping my head together today, i'm sending you the biggest warmest hug i can muster. Hope things get easier soon dear friend.xx x:-)

    Thanks all.xx

Claire so sorry to hear you are in so much pain, its horrible when nothing works except the tipple. Have been in that situation myself and it is no fun at all. Go back to the gp or even try A & E if you get desperate, they will provide pain relief to tide you over till you see the rheumy.

Glad to hear you are seeing a good rheumy at guys, lets hope you can get sorted.

    (((hugs)))
