BIG Thanks Tra, u r a great pa and friend. xx
Thanks also to those kind words by u guys.xx

I am not usualy one to moan, i get on with my lot and never cry, well until this last week, so you can tell how bad things have got.
Ordinarily i would never go to a&e for arthur pain , but this is different, not the same, something else is going on.

    Heres and update of yesterday...

Had a nasty experience in a&e, with a Dr totally dismissing this severe, different pain. He told me it was a flare!! Not a bakers, no torn anything just arthur!! All this without an xray.

When i told him i knew wot a flare was like, i have lived with this for years he had the cheek to tell me 'I was lucky, this was a bad flare and i obviously hadnt had one b4', i could have slapped him. I didnt i just cried. He pulled me about , made me fall and told me to stay still. How the hell can u stay still when u r in agony, and have some numpty making u stand and prod yr already painful knee.

This was not a good experience and i was left no further forward.. My o/h did complain to reception and we were seen by a nurse, gven some co drydamol and told we could wait to see another doc , Ju works in nhs, knows we will go to bottom of pile, but i wanted to wait.
After another hour, we already been there, crying in pain , unable to elevate knee now for
3.5 hrs, i needed home and pain relief in bucket loads.

I took c.d and other meds (i know) which took edge off and above all made me sleep for a few hours. Will call doc this morn.

I have never wished arthur pain and this pain on anyone, but i did with this doc ,just for 1hr so he could see the difference.

    Final msg...

Tra, i know things are not good for you, and hope you turn a corner soon. Will be with u for your mri babe.xx

Poor you Clare, what a rotten experience you've had at A&E. I'm shocked to be honest but each place is different and different times play a part too.
I do hope you had a decent sleep last night and get more respect and help today.
    Sending big hugs Rita.

Clare I was so shocked to hear how badly you were treated at A&E and I wonder if you could not write a complaint to some one.

I have emailed you (yesterday) so I wont repeat myself but, I really do hope you get an appointment with your gp this morning.

Thinking of you and sending (((((((())))))

Oh Clare, what an awful doc. That is outrageous, he clearly has not much experience, it could be a number of things going on as you know, even an infection.

(((hugs))) to you and your lovely hubby, I hope the gp provides you with more help.

Hi all, thanks for responses, talking to you guys keeps me going at times and im sure u have all felt the same. So Thanks again, i realy do mean it.

Saw another doc today as my gp is off, she was in fact lovely. She looked at knee asked what doc at hosp at done and questioned it all. You could see her cringing at the thought of how he was, and said, you know the difference in pain by now Clare, yes I was being listened too x:lol:
I could have kissed her but i refrained. x:wink:

She told me i should not take CD as it can interact with the beupronorphine patch, tabs and naproxem so not to take anymore. Says she believes the pain i am describing is that of a tare or bakers and that as an urgent referal has gone off to orthopedics i need to see them, in meantime she has upped patch and instructed me to take other meds prn and rest, the last word i didnt quite understand, but as the pain is so great will not be doing much

Mrs Clare is Julie and is a diamond. (just dont tel her that) Will pass on your hugs suzy.

    Love to all.xx

Clare, I hope she sees the funny side!!!!!

I am glad your gp listened to you. It is wrong to treat us like idiots, we are experts in ourselves as we have to be. Lets hope that referral comes through quickly, should be within a couple of weeks, I beleive that a timeline for urgent referrals is in place.

    Cuddle up with kitties

A&E is not always the answer, when I've been in similar trouble it's been the GP first then possibly a fast-track to whichever dept is required. My reasoning is that my GP knows my history, knows my character, knows that I am there because I need to be and will therefore take me seriously (unlike that clown in A&E). You poor thing, I hope stuff is easing now and that you can get some proper help from the right department - and soon. As for not understanding the word 'rest' well, I'm on me way round to sit on you. If you don't want that then stay still, OK?
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Hi Clare, I've been thinking of you and all the pain you've been through. A&E sound awful, a complete waste of time and effort. I am not a fan of them since they sent me home with a bottle of laxative when I had a perforated duodenal ulcer! Next day it was blue lights and emergency surgery then a month in hospital!
Sorry shouldn't go on about my past probs but I really hope that you can get to see someone good before Chistmas. You must rest. I'll be thinking of you and sending you lots of Get Well hugs (((()))) ((((())). Lots of love, Sue xxxxxx

    Hi all, Thanks

Suzy, i found it highly amusing, thanks, she has been called far worse x:lol:

DD, i only went to a&e as the pain was too great to continue to cope with. it was weekend and anyone who i called or saw wouldnt have had access to any notes im affraid. If i could have managed i would and wish i had been able to. It just all got too much. (which i hate to admit)
I didnt realise the walk in centre is open again after closing and relocating, but when u r in a state u dont think properly at times.

I apprechiate the kind words and thank you all.
