    Hi,

Yes, I tried Sulfa. Was okay on the one tablet but as soon as I went on two that was it. I had to come off it.
I do have IBS and quite a few drugs upset me.

    Hi Lin,

Oh flower thats such a hard thing to have happened to you all round.

I kinda with Legs on this one.... I have IBD (crohns) and it hits with venom at night.... I know ho hard it is to be on the loo all night ( can't believe I am saying this) for months on end ... Lin I have even slept on it with a really bad flare I had a few year back.

If your gp isn't you need this one investigated.... You really do. Sorry you might have said but I got problems with the eyes just now.

I so hope they will get you some real help with tablets to stop it and please get them to do further investigation. (((( )))) and so many hopes it will ease up for you soon. Cris x

Glad you have been ok today and hope so much you get a good night.

Flower if it goes on you need to get checked out. Might be the meds but it needs checking out. Let us know how your doing and don't forget you have the whole forum behind you if needed. Cris x

    Are you ok now Lin???

So relieved (pardon the pun) that it does seem to be medication related and therefore solvable...phew!!!

    Love

    Hi Lin,

Whilst I'm so pleased your runs have stopped I'm sad arthur has now stopped you 'running' about as you usually do

I hope you get your pain sorted out very soon, keep warm and just gentle movements are the order of the day methinks.

    Take care.

Sadly arthur is a systemic disease and can affect parts of our body we don't see.

It is hard when your parents die and when we're in pain it makes it seem worse somehow ............just another thing to drag you down :(

Can your GP give you stronger pain meds to help you over this bad patch?

    Yes, in short Lin.

Rheumatoid affects all joints and often all at the same time.

Maybe you need to look at your meds again or chat to your doc.

Just over a week to wait to see your Rheumy then .................it's a long time when you're in pain and have a little one to care for too - I know, I've been there

Your Rheumy will probably put you on a different Dmard to Sulphasalazine and will probably give you an anti-inflammatory too. He will help get your pain under control. There are lots of different meds which will help you and not give you the runs ......you don't want to be going through that again.

Hope the next week flies by for you.

    Hi Lin

I do hope your rheummy will start you on meds that don't upset your tummy and are more effective at dampening down the rigours of arther. Having it in so many joints is very tiring as well as painful. I do feel for you.

The trouble is Lin he can't feel your pain and is really unable to know what you're going through. Whereas we know exactly what its like that's why we're a good sounding board for when things get tough for you.

Hope you have an easier day tomorrow.
