Hi folks.
I hope everyone is as ok as can be.
I've not been about much lately. Went to Skeggy where the signal ain't great, then really over did things.. So now I'm suffering payback and also another flare starting..
This on top of trying to cut the fentanyl patches ain't much fun. Yesterday I ended up having to take three diazepam through the day just to try and relax the joints, then at about two am had had enough and plonked an extra patch on..
So, I'm tired and miserable, everything hurts..
BUT..... I am still thinking of you all, and count me in for all pocket duties please..
Best wishes to everyone..
Thank you
I hope everyone is as ok as can be.

Hope you enjoyed Skeggy and feel better after resting.Christine0

I thought it had been quiet round here - though I did hear there were some right troublemakers in Skeggy
Keep taking the tablets, dancing man,....and the patches....and....maybe...sometimes...the advice??? Plonker! I hope it was worth it. Maybe you should go over to the dark side and try Ichabod's Challenging Pain course. It's only an afternoon. I've been known to do a full week in Lancashire.
Take care, crazyman. (())If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Tony
Sorry you're suffering such a hard payback  ... it's always the way of it isn't it?!
I'm glad you didn't let 'arther' stop you enjoying skeggie (nice place ) but you will have to rest up now and look after those joints.
Hope that you are being looked after..... and will be back to your own self really soon...
Take care...

ps... my elderly cat Smudge (14yrs) was hit by a car and has a broken pelvis as well as other cuts and bruises. Luckily, no internal injuries... Being kept confined to a cage for 6 weeks..
thought you'd like to know as you are a 'cat' man.0 -

Hey Tony,
glad you enjoyed sunny Skeggy its beautiful there but a really bitterly cold wind when it has a mind to.
sorry to hear that you are in a flare, but I hope the overdoing it was worth it, we all overdo at times and then pay the price, but you do get an urge to say im going to have fun no matter what the cost.
in 4 weeks time im going to be doing the overdoing it thing all over a long weekend, my birthday, next day my nephew gets married and then on sunday its my birthday trip to a concert in London, Im gonna be so wrecked but I have the next day off to try to recover from all the fun im going to have.
but its worth it, you only live once.
hope you feel better real soon
hugs n stuff

Hope the pain train slows down for you soon and you feel better, Tony!
A right old 'globetrotter', aren't you, lol ?! 8)
Hope you had a nice time in Skeggy anyway. xLife is what happens while you're busy making other plans.0 -
Hi Tony,
Nice to see you back and i hope you had a good time in Skeggy even though you are paying for it now.
Get some good rest and i hope your pain becomes manageable again!
Hopefully some warmer weather is on the way!!!!!!LOVE EMMA X0 -
Hi Tony,
Good to see you around again, but sorry that you are still having so much pain. It is so hard to find the balance as we have to have a life outside Arthur even if it means payback.
Hope the patch is working for you and you manage a better nights sleep.

blimey. I dont know where to start
So many lovely replies....
Thank you every so much. Has made a miserable bloke smile
Sticky, the dark side is no place for me hun, I melt as soon as I begin to drive over t'moors lol.
Dorcas, you're poor cat, I really hope it recovers ok hun..
Apologies for no more personal replies, I'm a tad doped up (nothing new there lol) and have the memory of erm... That thing with the bad memory.. Erm.. Oh yeah, me..
However, it was really great to have do many replies, thank you, each and every one of you..
I have a tiny confession to make......
I had zero fun in Skeggy
All due rip the fact that I'm a stubborn idiot, who thinks he's still able to lay lino down in the caravan bathroom, put up three blinds and give bathroom a couple of coats of paint :? this was over the duration of a week, and has really knocked me sideways.. It really needed doing though and I couldn't let Janet do it as she's worse off than I am really, the other option was my folks, let's just say.... Erm, no... Neither can paint a straight line with a ruler and would have made a pigs ear of the lino, and we only had one piece lol..
So, as I said, stubborn idiot..
Out would have made for a comical sight though,i got stuck on the bathroom floor a couple of times

Tony, you are an idiot. I can say this because we both know that I have a great deal of….er….shall we call it ‘chaste affection?’ for you. OK here goes …..
You are in denial, mate. You have a serious, chronic, progressive disease and it’s going to progress much, much quicker if you keep feeding it with impossible tasks. I’ve been there. I know how it is. You see things that need doing. No-one else can/will do them, at least as well as you know you can. So, you do them regardless. You make stuff worse. You undo any good the meds have done and you make your loved ones even more anxious about you.
You have to accept reality and let go of stuff. Acknowledge you can’t do it any more than Janet can do it. Let the rellies do not-as-good-a-job. I know it’s really hard to watch someone making a pig’s ear out of a job you know you’d do so much better. (On a much more minor scale I still have to do it regularly as I can’t be constantly nagging Mr SW about the right/wrong ways to peg washing out, pack groceries or even stack the pans so that I can access them properly.) Alternatively, you have to pay someone to do it (Disability is expensive). Or simply leave it undone. THAT IS AN OPTION. Over the years I’ve learnt to leave many things undone (even vital buttons and the doors of public loos at times  ). At first it was deeply upsetting but you get used to it. You don’t ever learn to like it but you learn to accept it. Some may call this ‘giving in’: I call it giving up on the less important stuff so as to have the physical resources for the more important stuff. prioritise. Laying lino, putting up blinds and painting and decorating are not priorities. They are optional extras.
OK lecture over. Can we still do the hugs please? (((())))If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hope you dont do anything but rest up today, sending gentle hugs (((()))) Mig0

Hey Tony I'm so sorry that your having a bad time at the moment, I hope Ra is giving you lots of love and affection. Bubba has been a great friend to me as I'm suffering with this flu bug and have been miserable myself.
What are we like hey! We need putting in a bag and shaken up!
You take it easy my ol friend and I will try and search in the black hole also known as my brain for some stories to make you smile, may take a while as you know the black hole goes on forever!! Give Ra a big hug from me & Bubba. And a big ((HUG)) from me to you silly ol sausage,pepperami,salami,pepperoni!!0 -
Sorry things are such a stuggle for you Tony.
Thinking of you.

Hi Tony, sorry you didn't have much fun in Skeggy. At least you'll have a really nice bathroom next time you go! Try to take it easy now and get this flare under control.
Wishing you well,
