I've had a couple of these done the last a few weeks ago it is uncomfortable especially the one on the ankle but you might not be needing this one, it feels wierd and makes you jump , I also had the needle in the muscle test they do despite what it sounds like this does not hurt one bit, they found my neck is being aggravated by bone overgrowth with my OA they cannot operate as this would aggravate the nerve even more, it leaves me with weakness and stiffness I cannot move my neck round like i used to do, what are you having it tested for ??? good luck will be thinking of you x

Hello stranger, it's lovely to hear from you! I hope all is as well as it can be for you and that your family circumstances are better than they have been. I am having this done because I am having trouble with fizzing, numb and tingly fingers in both hands. Last week I went to rheumatology and was given a pair of Beige Beauties (wrist splints) to wear at night and when they tingle, a form for a neck Xray and a referral to the nerve bods. The thinking is I have carpal tunnel syndrome but they want to check all areas as my neck is not behaving at the moment. As for the needle in the muscle - Noooooooooooo! Daisy don't want to play! DD

PS Val? I'm serene at the moment, but then I have another eight days to do. Gulp.
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
