I've left a message on my rheumatology helpline as I know that something is not right. I could go to the GP (and will if they tell me) but as a wise friend pointed out a faster route to Xray could be via rheumatology. Something is amiss in there, it may be due to the insoles, it may be due to bone growth (that was noticeable on my April 2011 Xrays, it must be worse now) and maybe it's related to the hurty left heel. Who knows? I don't! Flare-wise I'm much better but pain wise - YUK. I don't think I'm safe to drive either - double YUK. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I'm sorry I missed this earlier, DD. I've been away. I'm very pleased you had a good weekend. Sorry about the knee but best to get it checked out.
As a matter of interest, is that last sentence of yours one that would ever be uttered by a bloke? ('I don't think I'm safe to drive')If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I think my last sentence goes to prove what a sensible and level-headed woman I am. :? Ye gods, moi? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi DD
Hope it ges sorted one way or the other.
Not being able to drive when you are used to driving must be dreadful.
I know I dont go very far.....but if I couldnt drive I would be lost.
Good luck Pet

Hello Hileena, how are you today? I'm pleased to report that the knee is feeling a tad better but I am still going to be sensible and not put it under too much stress. I have a feeling this is an insole-related 'injury' - I didn't wear them at all on Monday or Tuesday and lo! Everything must be sagging back to where it likes to be! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi DD
Glad you are feeling a bit better......hopefully you've found the solution
I'm not bad....going away next week and then after that have the dreaded back specialist appt...not looking forward to that although will be happier if I find out whats wrong with that...apar from arthritis and scoliosis Consultant seems to think spinal stenosis as well.
Oh well....we'll find out soon

Hi DD
Just dropped in to see how you were I am pleased that your knees are a little better today
Sounds like you may be right and just over done it with your insoles.
I expect it will take a little while to get used to them, but you will
Take care
