I have been on monthly bloods for quite a while now for the sulfa.. all has been well until last tuesdays showed up a couple of problems. Had it repeated wednesday.. still got problems.
I think it is , mainly the vitamin b12 that is too low.
That may be the reason why I have been sleeping almost 18hrs a day lately.... I was just putting it down to another flare up and exhaustion that comes with that..

Doc mentioned folic acid too which I haven't had before, but my rheumy appointment is on the fifthof march so he is letting them handle that.
I am having a vitamin b injection monday so who knows.....? Maybe I will wake up tuesday lol

Aparently vitamin B12 deficiency can cause many many problems with many of the symptoms I suffer...

I am hoping the injection will bring good things lol

Sorry I have not been around much, been sleeping and depressed to be honest...

I will be back though.

Best wishes to everyone.......

Hello Tony, it's good to hear from you again but I am sorry that things are not going that well for you. This cropped up quite recently on here (I think it was Lupin who raised it) - I know that the injections can make a great difference and I hope this proves to be the case for you. Good luck on Monday and please let us know how you get on, OK? I wish you well. DD

Yes B12 deficiency has cropped up a few times of late. I hope the injection helps. Is it just the one or are they monitoring your levels? I hope so. Make sure the rheumatologist knows all about it when you go. Take care.

    thanks again girls.. :D
Really nice to see some lovely friends again too

Sticky, I dunno what they will do, GP just said I needed to have the injection on monday.
I can't remember what was what with the levels but I know there were two or three things amiss..
I assume that they will repeat the bloods after monday, I will be due the monthly blood test in about a fortnight anyway. This is all out of the blue though, all must have been ok up to last tuesday's results.

I will get in touch with Traluvie, it would be nice to hear jow she is doing anyway...

I wonder if this IS the real reason I am soooooo very tired lately, even , more than the usual exhaustion.

It can do alsorts of weird stuff to the body when the levels ain't right, plus there is a link with statins I read about.. I have been thinking of stopping the statin lately anyway.. They never check the cholesterol, it has probably been ok for years lol.
I was put on them a few years ago cos the triglyceride was way too high, and the 'good' cholesterol was too low... I will discuss with the GP first though.. I do know that statins can affect your vitamin b, and can cause joint pains etc etc.....
I should have thought on today and mentioned it, BUT..... funnily enough, low vit b can cause memory problems and... I FORGOT TO MENTION IT LOL

I also found an old post about lanzoprazole causing bother but I am on a fairly low dose and DO need it because of the Naproxen etc..

Righty, I need a rest after that heehee....

Thank you very much for always being there for me when I need ya....

As I recall (badly  ) there are all sorts of things that can mess up B12 levels and I can only remember two - diet's the obvious one but meds can too. However, I also know (because it happened to a friend) it can be a sign of pernicious anaemia, which isn't a problem if you get the meds for it but can be if you don't. So please keep on top of this, Tony, and don't fall between the two stools of GP and rheumatologist.

    Thanks numpty.
    You too sticky.
He said that I'm not anemic, but. . Having read a little about the damage t can cause I'm definitely gonna be on top of it hun.
There have been cases of people being wheelchair bound etc, diagnosed with alsorts including MS.. And it was just vitamin B12 deficiency.
I'm really really hoping this injection helps. I didn't even have the strength to pull the quilt over me last night I was that tired!!

I managed to get up today around noon. Off to the cemetery soon. Then visiting family.
Have another wedding do tonight. Don't reckon I'll be able to stay that long.

Hi Tony hope all is going well. The doctor has put me on B1.. when i read up on them it was normally used for people that drink a lot Hic.... :o:o wouldn't mind but i hardly drink which i thought was odd. Glad mine wasn't B6 /B12 at least it means i don't get needled :D:D . Doctor totally at a loss with what is wrong with me... should have asked hubby he this i am just nuts :):):) . Will probably end up back with oncol... but will put that off until March. At which point he is going to ask about the tattoo extension on my arm... :):) always tell him its work in progress. Just got a knackered body and the drugs don't help...

Tony, I really really hope the jab does give you superhuman strength or failing that, does help you back to something like 'normal'. If it does feel better though, please don't go crazy and use up all it's goodness. I always do that with steroids til Mr LV sighs and shakes his head and I realise oops I've done it again.
What's the next ink plan? I'm thinking sometime later this year I need to find space for two little tattoos to signify two little people...what to have and where though but working those out is half the fun! Take care and big hugs, LV xx

I promise I'll take it easy hun. :D

As for my next ink.. mmmm... I need my backpiece finishing for a start.. then. .
I've space on both arms, some space on legs and ribs.. lol
I could go on for a while yet :D

May I suggest that when you plump for the duo ink, go BIG
    Lol

So, you are looking at having some more tats. Do you know what kind of design yet. My eldest was thinking at one point of going into the tattooing. But I think now she has gone all japanese.

Hope you're injections work for you. Haven't read back so what are they for. Whatever, hope they make you feel a lot more pain free.

    Hi Karen hun.
    These are vitamin B12 injections.
The docs just happened to think on and check them and they are very low.
Just back from having the first one done. Have to have another five over the next three weeks! Lol
My level was 186. The lowest it should be is 187 but the highest is in the eight hundreds.. So it's definitely a problem.
No wonder I've been sleeping so much lol. I was just putting it down to extreme exhaustion.

My backpiece is of the Predator in the jungle. Lots of trees and skinned bodies etc haha
I want more flames etc up the arms.. Dunno what else yet. .
    I need a sponser Heehee. .

    Hope you're doing alright hun.
