Hello!
Thank you all for your kind support. I'm trapped in here waiting for tests. They've started me on drugs just in case there's a clot but the midwives and I think anaemia and squashed lungs are to blame.
Struggling to post as my phone times out before it submits a post.
Love to you all and thank you xx
PS DD you are far from a wet lettuce!!Hey little fighter, things will get brighter0 -
Hi LV, it's lovely to hear from you
I hope you get the tests done soon, and everything is good so you can go home.
Take care,
Numpty0 -
Hope you get the tests done soon so you can get back home. Hope the babies are keeping well and not making you too uncomfortable.Christine0

Hi LV,
Hope you get the test results soon and all is well. Carrying twins can squash all sorts of bits you never knew you had  . Bless them both- take care and just enjoy being looked after for a while longer.

It's lovely to hear from you. I was getting a bit nattered, wondering whether you were really ill (as opposed to a mere blood clot on the lungs  ) or if we should all start knitting furiously
My younger lad curled up snugly on my sciatic nerve for the last 6 weeks or so of the pregnancy but at least he allowed me to breathe. You'll have some stories to tell these two.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi LV,Hope things are ok with all of you.(((((()))))) Mig0

Squashed lungs? Crikey, how big are these two? Someone gave birth last January to twins who were both over 8lbs in weight. Are you going for that record? If so, please don't. DD (who is very lettucy indeed)Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I'm home
Thank you all so much for your support, at my most worried moments when everybody was asleep I would come on here and you all made me feel so much better, safer, less lonely and so very supported, I really can't thank you enough. I kept trying to post but the weak signal had none of it til last night.
There are no clots, in fact my lungs are in rude health. My iron levels have dropped quite rapidly which is causing tachycardia which in turn is making me breathless. Basically, my body is struggling. I'm now on high doses of iron tablets which should kick in and help my body to compensate soon enough.
They put two and two together when the 32 week growth scan this morning showed two babies lying head down with feet and bums sticking into my lung space and weighing a rudely healthy 3lb 10 and 4lb. Add in two placentas and of course my body is struggling! They kind of concluded that before the CT scan results came back but we waited just in case.
I'm probably going to be induced at around 37 weeks so we have just under 5 weeks remaining. Are all you wonderful aunties, uncles and supporters ready?! Not sure I am but after this week I just want them to be as healthy as possible, no more dramas please Bubble and Squeak! On the plus side of al, this, it's an amazing hospital with some fantastic midwives and I feel far less daunted about being on that ward with two babies, I know we'll get excellent care.
Thank you all so very much, I really can't tell you how far your support, love and kind words have carried me this week. You are all amazing!
LV xxHey little fighter, things will get brighter0 -
Glad you are home LV,keep well and rest when you can.Mig0

Aww LV that is very kind of you....we do worry about one another...and you and those little ones are very precious.....I am glad you are home and in your own bed...like Mig says you make sure you get some rest...xLove

Sorry LV, I am late reading this thread too. I am glad that you are home and that it is nothing more serious than trying to incubate two whopping babies.
Just a tip, I learnt on my biochem degree that iron absorption is inhibitted by the tannins in tea so try and take the tablets not with tea. Also other minerals will compete for absorption so don't take and multivit/mineral tabs at the same time. And, finally, ornage juice aids the absorption of iron. Think yourself lucky you are not a cow (real bovine) because the lecturer, who was full of asides, told us how farmers would stick an iron nail into a cow if she was anaemic. Ow!
Not long to go now. I am ready!!0 -
Oh LV, I'm so pleased you're home, and everything is good. Not long to wait now then!
By the way, you are the amazing one. You are always positive, helpful and supportive to others, and have a great sense of humour.
Wishing you well,
Numpty0 -
Thank goodness you are home and well.
Nothing worse than being trapped in hospital...even if it has reassured you that you will be cared for really well
Methinks this is now a proper excuse/reason to rest up and look after yourself
Love

PS ready and waiting arms held out0 -
Glad you are home and your lungs are ok. Hope the iron does kick in soon. Sounds as if babies are growing really well. 5 weeks will fly by so not long at all now.Christine0

I dunno what's wrong with me. My eyes keep leaking, Joan started it, Tilly had a bash and now you. I don't even 'do' babies but hells bells girl, you, Mr LV and your two have struck a chord with me I never knew existed.
I am so pleased you are home, so very pleased 'cos it's the best place to be. ((((())))) DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Thank God for that! I was getting very jittery. That's the trouble with babies - they take whatever they need from your body and leave you to muddle through on their leftovers
It's lovely to have you all back, LV. (())If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

So glad to see you are home and well, it must have been such a worrying time for you and your OH, must admit had leaky eyes myself with relief, gosh five weeks to go how exciting. I'm sure B & S will have that many Aunts and Uncles they wont know what to do with them, take care LV we are all behind you as you are to us, hopefully no more dramas until the big day........................Marie xxSmile a while and while you smile
smile another smile and soon there

So pleased it all seems to be sorted LV. Now then you must tell Mr. LV to take good care of you three, I bet he too is pleased to have you all home again. Only five weeks so he must spoil you rotton for all that time.0
