Whoo-hoo. I had hold of Ruby for about 10 minutes today. There didn't seem to be any weight in her at all. She has lost 4 ozs but the nurse said that was fine. I know babies do lose a little but that seemed a lot for her to me. She was a little jaundiced last night but a few hours under the lamp soon sorted that out. And she pooped her nappy while I was holding her.Christine0

Ahhhh Christine I'll bet that was the best poop in the world
Glad you had a cuddle

Thank you everyone. My son phoned this afternoon to say Ruby has been naughty. She had pulled her feeding tube out of her nose. I'm glad she had the strength to do it. She has put on an ounce and doesn't need the heat lamp now. She is, apparently very wiggly too.Christine0

I've felt ok today so will see how I am tomorrow. Feeling very annoyed with my sister though. We went to visit my dad today. As we arrived, my other sister's partner (they live next door to dad) came out and told us that that sister had chicken pox so she wouldn't be coming in to dad's. After a while, the sister I went with disappeared and came back quite a while later saying, 'Yes she's covered in spots.' She'd been next door after I'd said I didn't want to risk catching chicken pox. So not sure if she could have caught it then passed it to me. I think it'd doubtful but I still feel annoyed. And to top it all, she phoned her GP who has asked to see her because he thinks it's measles. Grrrrrrr!Christine0

Some people just have no consideration for others Christine :x I hope you haven't caught chicken pox or measles.

Sorry, forgot to update here. It turned out my sister is having a really bad allergic reaction so it's not contagious. I feel ok but woke up coughing last night. Ruby is putting a little weight on now. She will be allowed home when she reaches 4lbs. She's 3lbs 5ozs at the moment.Christine0

Ruby sounds to be doing really well applerose!! Already putting on a fair bit of weight
Wont be long before they let her go home.
