Hi
I start this next week. The leaflet I got was vague and googling hasn't helped much.
Do you have any information on this one specifically?
Many thanks

Hello Gemma,
You'll most likely start on what's called a loading dose for the first month that you take this drug (i.e. two injections every two weeks) before reducing to a maintenance dose (one injection every two weeks). To begin with it will probably be administered by a rheumatology nurse who can show you how to inject yourself if you feel comfortable to do so.
There is a fair amount of info available on certolizumab from reliable sources. You could have a look at these for starters:
http://www.nras.org.uk/about_rheumatoid_arthritis/newly_diagnosed/which_drugs_are_used/cimzia_certolizumab_pegol.aspx
http://www.nhs.uk/medicine-guides/pages/MedicineOverview.aspx?condition=Rheumatoid arthritis&medicine=Certolizumab pegol&preparationCertolizumab pegol 200mg/1ml solution for injection pre-filled syringes
Hope this is helpful
Best wishes
