I had a blood transfusion the last THR I had.
They just said you are a bit anaemic.
When the district nurse was in the hose one day she glanced at my notes and said "you lost a lot of blood during the operation didn't you" :shock:
That's slightly different to being a bit anaemic isn't it

Right....latest update
Saw the GP this morning about the anaemia and cancelled appointment. She asked a lot of questions then decided to try a course of iron tablets.
I've got to go back for repeat bloods 7th November
Depending on the results she will either
Write to the Consultant and say Go Ahead
Write to the consultant and say Go Ahead but I still need another course of iron OR
Say NO WAY YET and do other investigations :?

Right, this sounds like a plan - surely it is better to be in the best state of health that one can achieve before major surgery. The delay is a nuisance but I think it's for the better. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
