    Thanks everyone :D

I was quite surprised, very pleasantly tho, to find all psoriasis much flatter & slightly paler again today :D I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes & all within 6 days!!! Shockingly wonderful

The support, as always, has been amazing & so gratefully received (((((( ))))))

    Xxx xxX

    Hi,

Today my plaques are scaling faster, still a lot slower than normal mind you. I also have a few pustules popping back up & a few new baby psoriasis!!

I had a dermatology appointment thru for 20th Nov today so that's good news, it's not too far away. It's a shame my stubborn skin is fighting back against this new treatment tho :(

I wonder if it will mean a higher dose or she'll set the ball rolling on Anti TNF's .... Should be interesting!! ;)

hi, just popping in to see how you are doing.

I don't know much about the skin stuff but it sounds mostly good? hopefully the new ones are just your body's final push against the new med and things should continue to improve. they should have a good idea how it is going to behave by your appointment in november.

    ((((((fingers crossed)))))))

    Thank you all.

I've definitely not lost hope but this dose is a bust I'm afraid, a big bust too. After 6 days I had a noticeable difference with all of it & by day 8 it's showing signs of re-growth with it all.

I'm not as bad as I was b4 the med tho so I'm still grateful ... Just realistic ;)

Ah blast it! :( Sorry to hear this hun. Maybe a increase in dose would sort you out? Hope you get sorted out very soon! Hugs x

I think Toots may be on the right track but we must remember that whatever we take doesn't permanently remove the problem. It might be a matter of tweaking the dose, or perhaps adding another immuno-suppressant med. DD

I shouldn't be surprised to be fair as my skin has always been very resistant to every treatment I've ever had, It even took 2 years of 25/30mg dose of methotrexate to just about clear it, she said thats unacceptable!!

My hope is she'll up the dosage but decide to start the process of getting me on a biologic too but I'll take wot I'm told wen I'm told, I'm a good girl like that ;)

    Thank you both :)

I'm sorry it's not working out quite as well as it seemed, Debbie. I just hope you can hang on to the 'some improvement' bit and maybe the next appointment will somehow bring some good news.

Hello Debbie maybe an increase would help. But I found on methotrexate that my skin lessened at first, then grew back a bit and got a bit red but now it is nearly gone ( if that makes sense?) x
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

Yes it does make sense :) Unfortunately it took 2 years to clear me on a dose of 25-30mg methotrexate, that's why she's taken me off of it as well as my chest. It worked very well for the 1st 6 months then not so well & after having to stop coz of glandular fever it really struggled to control it.

I'm definitely gona hang on to the positive in all this tho ... Its better than it was wen I posted about my skin driving me nuts :D

Thank you SW & Kittkat, it's appreciated.

Hi Debbie, I am a new member and starting my 3rd month on ciclosporin , but for psa .
I havent found it to help with the psoriasis really but am hoping to goodness it helps the psa as I had severe reactions to both mtx and sulfasalzine.

I hope it helps your skin , I have had it for 50yrs so know just how nasty psoriasis is .

    Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your continued support, it's very much appreciated!!

    (((((best cheer squad EVER)))))

It has flattened out again so I'm hoping the stress I had yesterday doesn't cause another round of pustular!!
A good friend visited & she made me tell her everything from start to finish about my Dad, it poked a hole in that dam that had been holding it all in!! I cried & cried. That was her plan of course, I wish she'd warned me
It was stressful but also a relief to know I was normal after all

It's our 26th wedding anniversary today. Wen we married I was 17 & hubby just 19, we were told it wouldn't last well we sure showed them eh? :D

I'm staying positive about this treatment coz it's still better than it was, it's not stopping new plaques popping up but the colour is draining from the big ones, the itching is minimal ... I can't complain to be honest!! :D

    Thank you all again.

    Aww thank you Trish :)

Yes, we had a lovely day & went for a gorgeous meal on the outskirts of Bradford-on-Avon. The food was delish, as it always is there :) All the kids were here wen we got home & the Grandson, it was noisy but perfect :D
A rest day today as it was exhausting & I didn't sleep too well

A few pustules have popped up today, there is NO doubt they are triggered by stress/upset now. It's quite managable tho so I'm fine about it. My calmness is thanks to all of you ... Uve been a massive help, truly!! I've noticed ive got a lot of peeling skin on my hands & toes, not sure wot that is, psoriasis maybe? Who cares ;)

    Enjoy ure week end :D ((((( )))))
