That sounds sensible to me. I was always told the 6 week rule but to lie on th operated side after that. The point is that, when lying on the operated side, there's no risk of dislocation.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

SW....yes apparently if you are on the un operated side, with the operated leg on top it can move all over the place during the night and like you say possible dislocation but if you are on the operated side it is well jammed down
I did the full 6 weeks before and will try again.
