Has Anyone Else Had a Rubbish Day?

Horrible here in Durham as well - lights needed most of the day. However, my younger son, D-I-L, and two little grandsons are coming this weekend, so I have made cup-cakes, iced them, and put mini gingerbread men on the tops for the little ones. I feel much more cheery now.0

Well, apparently, I am a spammer :?
I had a post on here denied this morning as spam. I read and re-read it and couldn't find anything remotely objectionable in it. While being grateful that we no longer have to start every day fending off spam for replacement rooms beginning with 'K', maybe the programme gremlins have gone a bit beserk here. I'm going to retry, bit by bit, to see where the problem lies. Please bear with me.
Part 1
Damp and dismal here too.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hm. So far, so good but I think I may have detected the problem as I have just been denied again. Let's say, instead,

In my worst years I had a book in which I keptIf at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Halleluia! The offending word was the one we use for denoting such a book ie scr*pbook I am utterly bemused but, to continue

of quotes anecdotes and newspaper cuttings that made me laugh. On the front I'd stuck one of-them: 'Just because the day is miserable doesn't mean to say you must be too'. It got me out of a few painful arthritic holes. On those days I just gave up on all but laughter.
P.S. It's still miserable here.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Sue had an ap for ortho this morning when we got up there we were told it was cancelled but they fitted her in to see the surgeon he said he did'nt need to see her but he got her plaster cut down a bit as it was hurting her knee when that was done we had transport from the hospital they had not booked for us to come home a lady who was finishing took us home after we had waited an hour.

That was rather a mixed day, Joan, and a rather tiring one I'd guess. It was kind of them to fit you in despite the cancellation and kind of the surgeon to sort out the painful part of Sue's plaster despite feeling he didn't need to see her. What a lovely lady to take you both home! However, it was a day of much waiting (always tiring), frustration and upheaval which I'm sure you could both have done without. I hope you and Sue can have a nice, quiet weekend. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Oh Joan, I apologise for coming late to this but I've had a busy day. I am so sorry that you and Sue were mucked about so much but at least she was seen and someone lovely took you both home. The admin. of your hospital sounds to be a mess with the cancelled appointment and not booking transport home. Grrrrrrr. I will be around tomorrow but then not so much for the following days. Odd, innit? At 3pm I was flying (not literally but feeling very good about life) and now, two hours later, it's a different story. I have had to be busier than usual thanks to Mr DD taking some leave and the physical cost is adding up. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
