Wobbly hip

Since I tore the cartilage in my hip, I have found that my femur is wobbling in my hip socket. There is so little online about this. Has anyone had anything similar? My doctor was horrified, baffled and confused.

There is a bit on Google if you put in "wobbly hip" such as: "Hip instability is a loose or wobbly hip joint that's usually caused by problems with the ligaments (the bands of connective tissue that hold bones or joints together). In hip dislocation, the ball at the end of the thighbone is pushed out of the socket. This painful condition requires medical treatment."
