Looking to connect with other cauda equine sufferers
Two years ago I had an operation for cauda equina. It wasn’t picked up on for 6 months so unfortunately by the time it was diagnosed the damage was permanent. I’m looking to talk to people particularly women who have similar issues to mine, for example self-catheterising, gained weight, lack of feeling in important areas etc. I’m looking for inspirational stories but also looking to support other people too. I do have other issues. Recently had my knee injected, I have a hip that keeps popping out and a huge hernia which is really stopping me from going swimming which I think could help me to lose weight and exercise and make me feel good about myself (catch 22) so if anyone would like to get in touch I would really like to hear from you

Hi @Mammatonks firstly let me welcome you to the forum I hope you find the information and support you are after from our wonderful community.
I can see from your post that you had previous surgery for cauda equina and have not had huge success with the operation and want to understand how this has affected others, as it has left you with other health issues as a result.
The site is full of information and conversations but I wanted to signpost you to a couple of interesting information leaflet that may help you, around low impact exercises that is in your query.
Please feel free to search the forum for others with similar experiences and I am sure that some of our community will be able to help offer some useful suggestions.
Take care and I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks
Joe

Hi @Mammatonks
Did you see this from someone else in a similar position to yourself?
It's a very recent post so the poster might still be around @Luckyles ?
Best wishes,
Ellen.
