Can some tell me whay grade L5/LS 11mm anterolisthesis please?
Thank you for posting on the Helpline forum. I am sorry to hear you have a problem with your back and I hope you are not experiencing too much pain.
Spondylolisthesis is where one of the bones in your spine, known as a vertebra, slips out of position. It's most common in the lower back. Anterolisthesis is where the upper vertebral body slips forward onto the vertebra below. The grading refers to the amount of slippage. Level L5 is at the base of your lumbar spine.
It sounds as if it would be good to talk things through further with your GP and/or specialist who will be able to explain more about the condition and help you to explore treatment options. We are not medically trained on the Helpline. Referral to a physiotherapist may be considered.
I hope you will find the information given below of some help.
If at any point you would like to talk things through informally and in confidence, you are welcome to call our Free Helpline on 0800 5200 520 weekdays 9am – 6pm.
