Hello
My knees have been very painful for about 10 years I've had numerous sessions of physio over this period but about 4 years ago things got much worse, I now have problems with my shoulder, my right hand. Dispite several appointments with doctors about this I have never had an xray, diagnosis or referral to specialist. I sessions physio he refers me back to doctor I see doctor he refers my to physio!

I think you should really be pressing for an X-ray just to determine what is going on. Your physio could ask your GP to refer you for one.

Hi @Karenc123
I see you have already had a supportive reply from one of our members. @nicholaj is right that you might need to be more assertive with your Dr. This is not always easy although taking someone with you can help.
I am going to attach a couple of links which might help this one is about tests/investigations:
This one is about knee pain:
Do let us know how you get on
Best wishes
Ellen.

Hi @Karenc123
I was only saying to someone else just I think @Netster47
sometimes we have to be more assertive than we feel comfortable with. It isn't easy but see what replies he/she has had:
Please don't give up try again, but prepare well.
Let us know how you get on
